(103,028 posts)and mean it. I have little tolerance right now for those who won't take the basic protections available to save their lives during a historical record-setting pandemic. And, getting a flu shot, socially distancing, wearing a face-covering is little enough to ask when lives are at stake. That is my soapbox and I'm glued to it!
BTW, in "normal" years, waiting until October is probably optimal for a lot of people--especially older individuals whose derived immunity may be less vigorous and shorter-lived than the more robust response of the young. That said, this year, one needs to factor in the crowd sizes one is likely to encounter waiting with others for the vaccine when demand is high. While CDC has not addressed that this year, the truth is that earlier may well be better for most or all of us.
