In reply to the discussion: Good Biden camp response to Trump hedging on whether he would accept election results [View all]friend of m and j
(220 posts)I agree with you that most of the people working in the government are sane who work very hard to maintain some semblance of normality in government. I think many if not most would not vote for Trump in 2020. But most of them are not prepared to take up arms to get Trump out of the WH if he tried to stage a coup. It is a hopeful sign that many of the military leaders both active and retired have spoken out against Trump. But I doubt that they would relish the idea of a shoot out in one of our most sacred entities, the WH.
I am sure that Biden's campaign strategist and even the "Never Trumpers" are working hard to come up plan to counter a attempted coup.
But I can guarantee that if Trump's brain Trust in the WH is planning a coup they have been planning it for a very long time and have lined up fire power with experience in over throwing governments. They will not have to look far to find the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army.
The Secretary of Education in the Trump administration just happens to Betsy Devos whose brother just happens to be Eric Prince, the founder of that Mercenary Army. Trump would be hiding in the "Bunker" while Princes forces killed and destroyed whatever was necessary to carry out their mission.
It is a scary scenario but it could happen.
