Damn, that really burns the sinuses.
You're absolutely right, though. Some of the dumbest damn 'warnings' I've seen have made my intelligence skip a beat. Example: I bought a step ladder that had a warning on the TOP STEP that said (I kid you not): "Do not attempt to step higher than this step."
W.T.F. ????
Sad to say, many of our fellow citizens are stupid as shit.
And yes, these warning ARE made for them.
Worse yet, many of them vote.
