the police would call me to testify about my car and that it would go very badly for a serial car thief.

But yeah, if I'm out of my car, the keys are with me. I've lived in bad neighborhoods too long. I don't ever drive anything anyone in his right mind would want to steal, but you can't count on everybody being in their right minds around here.

It would be nice to have somebody else clean the thing for me, though. I'd have been the same and let the poor bugger go just for that reason.
