(10,885 posts)The regulars know where their needed items are located. The non-regulars are on their cell phones phoning home to "Honey" to get further instruction as to where their items are located, what might be substituted, or "Why do we need that anyway?".
This might be the only time men actually ask for directions! (Sorry Guys, an old trope, I know, but it kinda' fits.)
My older son does all the grocery shopping for his family, and always has. He enjoys it. He'll call each week to see if I need anything, but since he lives 20 minutes away, I hate to ask him to drop off a tomato or similar. I'm still working on my frozen and pantry stock - it's just fresh produce on my list now. I'll save his services for those times when I need heavy items moved or taken to the recycling center.
