The Matrix describes "unawakened" people (more or less) as victims but still the enemy, as long as they're still in the grip of the delusion.

Every Trump supporter is an idiot racist fuckhead. Every single one of them. That includes the nice guy who walks his dog, and the woman who brings delicious cupcakes to the church bake sale. Idiot racist fuckheads.

Until they recant.

If they recognize their idiot racist fuckheadedness and truly make a change, then they absolutely deserve another chance.

But as soon as they vote Republican again (and the vast majority will do so), they're idiot racist fuckheads all over again.
