Irony of the Day [View all]

Republicans are now floating their latested CT: Sondland revised his testimony, in a way very detrimental to Trump, because somebody ‘got to him’ and forced him to do so.

Well, where was that theory when Mulvaney told the world, on live TV no less, that there was a quid-pro-quo – get over it! – and then insisted that he hadn’t said what millions of people heard him say just hours before?

Who ‘got to’ Mulvaney? Who ‘forced’ him to recant his own words?

Sondland had a very compelling reason to revise his testimony - to avoid being charged with perjury.

So exactly what was Mulvaney's reason for not only 'revising' his statements about a quid-pro-quo, but insisting that he never made those statements in the first place?
