8. Perhaps there's a way we can keep politics out of it

Maybe, just maybe, a law can be passed that any president who commits certain acts shall automatically be removed from office.

What acts? Damn. I guess that brings us full circle to decisions made by politicians.

A film that comes to mind is "Contact." The main character is asked what question would she put to hypothetical, benevolent aliens she may encounter. Her answer is, "How did you survive your adolescence?"

IMO, given all of human history, we humans won't survive our adolescence.

Hope I'm wrong.
