I have heard a lot of people say that the minimum wage should be abolished, that the minimum wage makes us a socialist state, that it ruins the economy, all sorts of things like that. What a lot of people want is "pure capitalism", although I put that in quotation marks because a lot of they seem to be OK with concessions to businesses.
