Loyalists of this admin think Congress' claims alter their power so little that they don't have to care about resumes.
I know Schiff's doing a brilliant job. Regardless, it will still be up to Congress and courts to rule rule when time is of the essence (allegedly). I see no movement in the courts.
The FBI's time to enforce appears to be over. Congress and the courts can't call on them.
Without enforcement power, Schiff's efforts won't be timely enough, or sold powerfully enough to matter to a seemingly disengaged or discouraged public. No amount of evidence and outrage -- talk of contempt, or court rulings -- enforces the law.
Structurally, there's no enforcement entity other than the DOJ.
