I caught a few minutes of CNN's coverage of the Hong Kong airport protests. They were very negative towards the protesters--it was all about who was being inconvenienced. There was very little focus on what the protesters were protesting about. And now that I think about it, every recent attempt of Americans to hold regular protests--whether Black Lives Matter or Occupy Wall Street--has been demonized by mainstream news outlets.
Collectively, we've been trained to just watch in horror as our quality of life goes down the drain.
