53. It didn't survive the Revolution

It was sacked during the Revolution, and much of it burned.

I hate to be a nitpicker, but this is not the first rodeo for this building.

That spire was built in the 1840 round of renovations.

It is certainly unfortunate, but if people think that what burned today is hundreds of years old, they are for the most part mistaken.
