1. Her interview snippets on NPR were strange.

She considered it political payback and a kind of punishment or abuse of power that made her say that this is just un-American. There was obvious resentment at the idea.

At the same time, she said she welcomed them all, because her job was to make anybody--anybody--who moved there feel welcome.

I was left with the feeling that she had principles and was going to speak according to them; also that one of them was not giving Trump a soundbite. Which, of course, she did anyway, because it's hard not to give Trump a soundbite.

Still, I rather doubt if a bunch White Pride folk wanted to move in and set up shop she'd want to make them feel welcome.
