there have always been rich elites trying to destroy democracy - democracy was designed to limit and regulate authoritarians influence and power.

after reagan killed the fairness doctrine in 87 the right created a 20-1 political talk radio monopoly and democrats ignored it completely. 1500 think tank coordinated radio stations with limbaugh on 600 of the loudest as messaging point man and tone-setter. it completely dominates 40 states with 80 senators, moving the whole country right by 10-20 pts and the political writers and journalists continue to analyze politics as if it doesn't exist. dem party doesn't even poll for it and we let 88 universities broadcast sports on 260 limbaugh stations - basically endorsing daily global warming denial, public school defunding, attacks on AOC, omar, and weighing in on who they think the media should pick as the dem candidate.

trump is the talk radio candidate - the trump team studied 1000s of hours of it in 2014 - possibly to help coordinate with russian troll ops - they needed content and most of the most successful memes piggybacked established talk radio lies

it's the only real advantage trump and the cons have and the left continues tie biggest political mistake in history- ignoring it. it's also incredibly vulnerable because with very little protest and boycott action the ad industry would get the message that artificial intelligence allows talk radio to be digitized and requires them to start asking theior clients if they really want to support trump and global warming denial.
