I'm wondering if the video started in the middle of the conversation. They are talking past each other - neither the children, nor Feinstein explained what their version of the Green New Deal was - yet each seems to be point blank rejecting the other's view as if they know what it is.
In addition, every lobbying visit I've made (including those when I was not much older than these kids) took place in a conference room sitting around a table. This appears to be in a lobby area - which raises questions both about whether the video started in the middle, and also whether the kids had an appointment to meet with her or caught her off guard (not really an excuse - but would make it a bit more understandable). Kids wouldn't necessarily know to make an appointment - but presumably there were adults with them would know.
ETA: I've now looked at the entire video. This is just a snippet of the most tone-deaf portion. The meeting was a walk-in. The children were invited up to deliver the letter, but it ended up in a longer than 10-minute policy discussion - and she had another scheduled meeting that this impromptu visit was interfering with, so I suspect that at last partly accounts for the impatient tone.
