(3,259 posts)74. Over a year ago I was directed to JPR by a post on a friends Facebook page.
The piece they shared was extremely well put together and really spoke to me. I dont recall the name but I read some of their other essays and they were great. I led me to some other writers there who were also very thoughtful and thought provoking.
Outside of those few people I realized it wasnt a home for me and that is what I was looking for. I read a lot of different news sources but seem to like to plant my feet in one place when it comes to commenting and participating. JPR is overwhelmed with people I wouldnt surround myself in my personal life or online. Its a shame because the pieces I read were really good. I dont know if those people are there anymore.
Sounds like you had a similar experience.
