"So we are damned if we do and damned if we don't" only means "we'll choose whatever makes us the most money."
Here's an idea: Broadcast it on a time delay and then pause it to show what the real facts are after each lie. Or, better yet, just superimpose "LYING" every time he lies. Don't worry about viewers getting the word permanently burned on their TV screens. They don't use phosphorous on modern TV screens.
