28. "666" has an interesting history

First, in the oldest manuscripts, the number is 660, not 666. Ancient Romans had a system where a name could be translated into a number (I don't remember the scheme, but it is well-known among scholars). That way, you could write about someone without fear of being accused of saying bad things about some particular person. If you apply that system to Nero, you get: 660.
