Ryan is one Koch-fueled candidate [View all]

A quick google brought up a bevy of articles defining his connection to the Cokeheads

And he is sly enough to recognize that, like Dick Cheney with George Bush, he could be more than just a vice president in the administration of so bumbling a character as Romney.

Ryan figured Romney out months ago.

The two men bonded during the Wisconsin presidential primary campaign in late March and early April. They got on so well that Ryan was playing April Fool’s Day jokes on the Republican front-runner—giving Romney a rousing introduction before the candidate came from behind a curtain to find the room where he had expected to be greeted by a crowd of supporters was empty.

Romney loves the prep-school fraternity that he has with Ryan, and every indication is that the former governor would be delighted to add the House Budget Committee chairman to his ticket.

Paul Ryan's Koch-Fueled Weekend
House Budget Chair Goes to Kiss the Ring at Secret Special Interest Summit

Madison -- U.S. House Republican Budget Chair Paul Ryan of Janesville traveled to a secret California fundraising junket this past weekend run by billionaires Charles and David Koch, the major financers of the so-called tea party movement, the ThinkProgress news site reported today.

“Paul Ryan has supported, in lock step, the big oil, anti-accountability for Wall Street agenda of Koch Industries, so he was in perfect company,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director. “We encourage Paul Ryan to make public the speech he made at the fundraising event, so that Wisconsin will know what he has to say about our priorities when he attends his Koch parties.”

The fortunes of Koch Industries, which is among the nation’s largest privately-held companies, financed the Americans for Prosperity. Americans for Prosperity provided the infrastructure and paid resources for much of the pro-Republican tea party movement. According to its IRS 990s, Americans for Prosperity’s funding went from $7 milllion in 2008 to $16 million in 2009. Figures for 2010 were not available.

“It’s time to end the big lie and admit that the tea party was actually a Koch party, financed to keep Wall Street on top and protect oil profits and high gas prices,” said Ross. “It’s also important for GOP Budget leader Paul Ryan to come clean about what he had to say as a speaker at this Koch party.”

Paul Ryan’s New Boss….

I have always identified Paul Ryan as (R-Wall St.), but I have come to realize that he now reports to a new master – The Koch Brothers. (Be honest did anyone think Wisconsin’s First District residents? Didn’t think so). The Billionaire Koch Brothers, who inherited their billions, recently recently tried to hold a secret meeting of the tea party financiers. They have been holding these meetings in secret for a while now(Rodeo Clown Glenn Beck was the headliner last year). This year news of the meeting was leaked and, much to the Koch brothers chagrin, about 1500 people showed up to protest the welfare kings. The Brothers K, who fund the tea party and claim to love “grassroots” have a differing opinion when it is aimed AT them. The democracy hating brothers, hired goons to threaten critics and reporters.

Inside the resort at the beginning of the conference, “there was an atmosphere almost of paranoia,” said Gary Ferdman, a Common Cause official.

Ferdman had reservations at the resort and stayed there Thursday and Friday night. He said he was told Saturday that his lunch reservations at the resort restaurant had been canceled and was urged to check out and leave promptly by a member of Koch’s large security detail.

Security manned every doorway and stairwell near the ballrooms where Koch events were held, and threatened to jail this POLITICO reporter while he waited in line at the resort’s cafe, after he stopped by a Koch conference registration table.

The resort grounds were “closed for a private function,” the resort’s head of security, James Foster told POLITICO, ushering the reporter outside, where private security guards, wearing gold lapel pins bearing Koch’s “K” logo, threatened “a citizen’s arrest” and a “night in the Riverside County jail” if the reporter continued asking questions and taking photographs.

Now that they can buy elections and politicians, they think they have the ability to arrest reporters.
