(1,349 posts)They were also upset about the numerous times he lied, got caught lying and then lied some more. The egotistical nonsense with the visiting out of state people also annoyed people. The sunday before the election they had "rallies" where they were whining about reporters on the ground tweeting pictures of the rally not being what it was billed to be. She was tweeting out pics in real time and they were still attacking her.
He was a distant 3rd in every poll. He did well in particular areas where the young electorate had been prepped by propaganda and ill education to spout silly made up words as epithets. He's kinda the one who wanted to dig up the garden.
I believe Whitmer will be fine, she knows her electorate and they know her.
I am wondering how El-Sayed undoes the damage he did to her and how he will campaign. The amount of roiling hate he has been trafficking in, is something to behold, not just on twitter with the bots from out of the country and the state (who are still spewing quite a lot of inchoate rage), but in the people.
We had so many unpleasant encounters with his supporters while calling, issues with signs being vandalized and hidden, etc. He made a giant toxic mess and he has so much to clean up, let's see if he's able or willing to do so.
