61. Yeah, it was very bad.

2008 was a very rough campaign. Ironically it was Obama who pulled off the more successful smears, with his Harry and Louise ad, etc. Clinton had the famous 3 a.m. phone call ad. They smeared him wearing Somali drab in a picture insinuating he was Muslim. But none of the Clinton smears stuck.

No one in those campaigns pulled literal "you committed a crime" thing, though. Clinton used the Rezko thing through her surrogates, but never herself directly.

El Sayed should've never accused anyone of doing anything nefarious so openly. It's backfired hard on him and burned bridges.
