The "once great political party" thinking is part of our cultural conditioning and serves only THEIR (the Republican) agenda. Historically, the Republican Party has served privileged interests, and privileged interests ALONE. They're by no means a "once great political party". They've ALWAYS been the instrument used by the Neo-Royalists to screw the common person into the ground!
