In reply to the discussion: Glenn Greenwald - Progressive or Liberaltarian? [View all]_ed_
(1,734 posts)5. A better question is:
"Is President Obama a progressive?"
Glenn is:
- anti war
- pro civil liberties
- against executive power
- against Iraq / Afghanistan
- Pro drug legalization (by the way, this is the issue he works with the CATO Institute on, see his analysis of Portugal)
- against media corruption
Does that sound like a Progressive? Where does Obama come down on those issues?

The only reason Greenwald is being attacked is because he has been critical of Obama.

That makes ethical sense, but didn't Cato also make a big mistake by offering him money then?
