Oak Lawn police officer charged in filmed beating of teen

An Oak Lawn police officer now faces criminal charges seven months after video captured the beating of a teen amid an arrest.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports a Cook County grand jury indicted Officer Patrick O’Donnell Tuesday on counts of aggravated battery and official misconduct in connection to the arrest.

Muhammad Sankari, with the Arab American Action Network, called the move “a step in the right direction.” It comes after unrelenting pressure from advocates.

“We’ve been calling and meeting and everything with Kim Foxx’s office, saying that we want to see charges brought against these three officers,” Sankari said.

St. Joseph County sheriff arrested for OWI after Schoolcraft Twp. collision

St. Joseph County sheriff arrested for OWI after Schoolcraft Twp. collision

St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite was arrested over the weekend following a two-car crash in Schoolcraft Township.

Michigan State Police (MSP) says the crash happened Sunday on US-131 near West YZ Avenue before 2:30 a.m.
We’re told a Chevrolet Traverse drove south on the freeway when it rear-ended a Nissan Rogue. The impact threw both cars off the road after their drivers lost control.

Minor injuries were reported. After picking up on signs the Chevy driver was intoxicated, authorities asked him to participate in a sobriety test, according to MSP. Arrest records show Sheriff Lillywhite was arrested following the crash.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office says a man by Lillywhite's name was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated and for possessing a firearm while under the influence. He was released later in the afternoon.

I was attacked and screamed at in 2018 by an insane woman named Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Hate when that happens. I was attacked and screamed at in 2018 by an insane woman named Marjorie Taylor Greene. She had no respect for the privacy of me as an 18 year old school shooting survivor or my staff.
She was self righteous, insane, and completely out of control.

Mom sues her gay son’s bullies after his suicide

A mom in Pennsylvania is suing her town’s school district and six students over bullying she says led to her 15-year-old son’s suicide.

Zachary Kirchner took his own life in the basement of his family home in southeastern York County, Pennsylvania in April 2021. He had told classmates he wanted to kill himself.

His death followed years of harassment by students and neglect by school administrators in the Red Lion School District, according to the lawsuit filed by Kirchner’s mom, Hope Amspacher.
