'They lied to you': Georgia Republican begs MAGA voters to see the truth after Giuliani admissions

'They lied to you': Georgia Republican begs MAGA voters to see the truth after Giuliani admissions

Gabriel Sterling, the Republican chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State's office, made a fresh plea to Trump supporters in the wake of former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani's admission that he made false statements about Georgia poll workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

Writing on Twitter, Sterling said that Giuliani's admission should make Trump supporters realize that they were fed nonstop falsehoods about the 2020 presidential election, which former President Donald Trump lost decisively to President Joe Biden.

"Rudy Giuliani admits that he lied about Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman," Sterling wrote. "We've known for years that he lied about them and the events at State Farm Arena. For those that still believe there was widespread voter fraud, these people are admitting they lied to you."

"Suicide mission": Trump reportedly turned down by lawyers because his "case is a certain loser"

“Suicide mission”: Trump reportedly turned down by lawyers because his “case is a certain loser”

"Infamously difficult client" Trump is struggling to replace top attorneys who abruptly resigned last month

Former President Donald Trump is struggling to find enough lawyers to defend him in a mounting number of legal cases, according to Rolling Stone.

Trump, who has been indicted in connection to the 2016 campaign hush-money payments in Manhattan and the Mar-a-Lago documents case, faces potential indictments for his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in D.C. and Georgia. But Trump's effort to recruit new lawyers to defend him has been "fraught," in part because Trump is an "infamously difficult client," sources told the outlet.

Vevay police officer accused of attempted voyeurism, child exploitation

Vevay police officer accused of attempted voyeurism, child exploitation

A Vevay police officer was arrested while on duty Tuesday after he was accused of attempting to record video of an underage girl without her knowledge.

Madison police said 37-year-old Kyle J. Davis is charged with attempted child exploitation and attempted voyeurism after a months-long investigation.

According to court documents, a girl told officials a male family friend tried to record video of her while she was using the bathroom. She said she attempted to use the bathroom while at a birthday party at Davis's home, but was cut off by Davis, who said he needed to use the bathroom first.

When she went inside the bathroom, the girl said she found a phone concealed by clothing pointed at the toilet. She told officials she picked it up and saw it was recording.

Texas charges prisoners 50% more for water as heat wave continues

Texas charges prisoners 50% more for water as heat wave continues

The price of bottled water went up 50% in prison commissaries across Texas last month. The controversial move has two state agencies pointing the finger at each other as inmates struggle to endure an entrenched and deadly heatwave in facilities without air conditioning.

The state raised the price from $4.80 per case (24 bottles) to $7.20 per case on June 27. Commissary vendor Royal Pacific Tea Company requested to raise the prices in March even though it contract was incomplete. The prices were negotiated by the state comptroller's office and appear to be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

“Wow, well that certainly sounds like price gouging doesn’t it?” said Michele Deitch, director of the Prison and Jail Innovation Lab at the University of Texas at Austin.

About two-thirds of Texas prisons lack air conditioning, and 271 deaths between 2001-2019 may have been caused by extreme heat days, according to a 2022 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
