Will R Kelly sue Lifetime?

I’m hearing that CBS is giving lots and lots of money to JonBenet Ramsey‘s brother for lying about him.
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jonben-t-ramsey-brother-settles-020923425.html

I remember Rolling Stone magazine having to pay $1.6 million to a fraternity for not vetting an article.

Now Aaliya’s mother is saying that certain people are lying about allegations against her and R. Kelly.

Could R. Kelly so for the money he might lose due to bad Publis city from this? sue formoney he might lose due to bad publicity?

Whatever happened to the abuse allegations against Avenatti?

It was a month and a half that we heard the allegation could be considered a misdemeanor after being rejected as a felony.
To this date, no misdemeanor charges have been pressed either to my knowledge.
Does anyone have an update?

GOP senator calls on Congress to end shutdown without border deal

Source: The Hill

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), who faces a potentially tough reelection in 2020, says Congress should re-open the federal government, even without a deal on funding President Trump's border wall.

Gardner is the first Senate Republican to call for ending the partial shutdown even without a deal on Trump's demand for $5 billion to fund a border wall.

"I think we should pass a continuing resolution to get the government back open. The Senate has done it last Congress, we should do it again today," he said.

Gardner says the onus will then be on Democrats to explain why they don't support more money for border security after they voted to spend an additional $46 billion on the border in 2013.

Key reading of the manufacturing sector falls to lowest level in more than 2 years

Source: CNBC

Activity in the U.S. manufacturing sector expanded at a much slower pace than expected last month, according to the Institute for Supply Management.

The ISM manufacturing index fell to 54.1 in December, its lowest level since November 2016. Economists polled by Refinitiv expected the index to slip to 57.9 in December, down from 59.3 in November.

"Comments from the panel reflect continued expanding business strength, but at much lower levels," said Timothy Fiore, chair of the Institute for Supply Management, in statement. "Demand softened, with the New Orders Index retreating to recent low levels, the Customers' Inventories Index remaining too low — a positive heading into the first quarter of 2019 — and the Backlog of Orders declining to a zero-expansion level."
