crimycarny's JournalStephen Colbert is angry
Anyone see Stephen Colbert talking about Trumps press conference? He became very emotional. Powerful stuff.
Ohio---did it happen again?
Interesting read on how GOP tried to cheat in Ohio in 2012 like they did in 2004. This article speculates a lawsuit filed which could have set up a precedent for a manual audit is what prevented Rove form activating the software that would flip votes. But I remember Anonymous claiming they were onto Roves man in the middle planned attack and claimed they shut it down.
How is Rove not in jail?
https://washingtonspectator.org/did-an-election-day-lawsuit-stop-karl-roves-vote-rigging-scheme-in-ohio/
According to SourceWatch, Spoonamore, a Republican, is a recognized expert in the field of data security and digital network architecture who has worked as a consultant for MasterCard, American Express, Chubb Insurance, Bloomberg, and others.
Spoonamore attested that he found evidence that Rove, in collaboration with IT company owner Mike Connell, had used computer fraud to steal the 2004 election for George W. Bush.
The tabulation system Connell designed allowed for the introduction of a third computer between computer A and computer B, Spoonamore had written.
This centralized collection of all incoming tabulations would make it easy for a single operator, or preprogrammed force balancing computer to change the results in any way desired by the team controlling Computer C.
Ohio was never considered a Joe win, but I wonder if this man in the middle still exists in Ohios electronic voting infrastructure. Dont see why not since no one seems to care enough to give any oversight.
Intelligence warned Obama Administration in 2016 Russia could change votes
A Washington Post article on the book Rigged by David Shimer. Shimer claims US Intelligence warned they had evidence Russia could, and were hacking into voting machines across America and they had the ability to flip votes. Nothing was done. Harry Reid said he thought votes were flipped against Hillary..no forensic analysis was ever done.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/06/25/could-obama-have-stopped-putins-election-interference-new-book-argues-he-didnt-think-he-needed/
Obama, who declined to be interviewed for Shimers book, did warn Putin against interfering, and he imposed sanctions on Russia after the election. But his reluctance to respond forcefully ahead of time flowed in part from the fear that Russian hackers could tinker with voting machinery or even manipulate vote totals. By August 2016, the U.S. intelligence community had reported that Russian hackers could edit actual vote tallies, according to four of Obamas senior advisers, Shimer reports. This revelation was a game changer. Americas electoral infrastructure was penetrable. (Youd hope that such officials would speak out now, and not anonymously, with another presidential contest looming.)
My hope is that mail-in votes are tabulated differently. We need a paper ballot for every voter in every state and manual recounts in every state before elections are certified. Only way to prevent this in the future, especially as our leaders dont appear concerned with finding out if Russia is messing with our votes. Do they not want to cause a wide spread panic? I mean, come on!
AI that predicted 2016, Brexit, and Canadian Election predicts Biden win
Saw this on DailyKos.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/11/1/1991564/-AI-That-Accurately-Predicted-Brexit-2016-and-Canadian-Election-says?utm_campaign=trending
While traditional pollsters have tried to address the failures of 2016 with new methods (like weighting for education), a new alternative has begun to appear: AI predictions. Advanced Symbolics Inc. is a Canadian firm that has developed an AI named Polly which was recently the subject of a documentary by TVO (an Ontario public broadcaster). Polly makes it prediction based on social media and was first deployed in Brexit, then the 2016 American election, and the 2019 Canadian and UK elections. It accurately predicted them all.
I've wondered how accurate the traditional methods of polling are going to be going forward as less and less are going to be answering polls via cell or landline (who wants their data mined? Too many spam calls as it is, etc).
Putin rejects Trump's accusations against Biden
Did anyone see this? I apologize if already posted but I never saw any news about this (happened last Sunday). Not that I care what Putin thinks but Trump surely does. Sounds like Putin sees the writing on the wall and believes Trump will lose. For once in my life I hope Putin is right.

Regarding Trump's attacks on Biden over oil
I wish Joe Biden would bring up the fact that Trump promised to bring back coal yet coal plants are closing down faster than ever. Biden needs to hammer Trump on this. Tell people its a perfect example of why America needs a transition path off of reliance on fossil fuels because they are sunsetting whether we like it or not and no amount of legislation or wishful thinking is going to change that.
Instead of being on the defense, attack Trump for setting those working in the coal industry backwards for 4 years. They could have been setting up a transition plan this whole time. Instead nothing was done to help retrain and the coal plants closed anyway!
From a NYT article in October this year (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/05/us/politics/trump-coal-industry.html)
Despite Mr. Trumps stocking his administration with coal-industry executives and lobbyists, taking big donations from the industry, rolling back environmental regulations and intervening directly in cases like the Arizona power plant and mine, coals decline has only accelerated in recent years.
...
A Republican lawmaker from Arizona sought to force one of the states largest utilities to continue to buy power from the plant. Peabody, the worlds largest coal company, offered to discount the price of the coal it was selling the power plant from the Kayenta mine.
None of it proved to be enough. By late last year, both the Kayenta mine and the Navajo Generating Station had gone offline, a high-profile example of the industrys broader collapse and the resulting economic and political aftershocks.
...
Alvin Long, 61, who spent nearly three decades maintaining the earth-moving machines at the Kayenta mine before it closed and remains unemployed, said the past several years have led him to reassess his political allegiance. After backing Republicans since the 1970s and voting for Mr. Trump in 2016, he said he was leaving the party.
We really thought we had a chance to keep it going, when we voted for Trump, he said. But I dont care to listen to him anymore. All of his promises went down the drain.
John McCain and Obama trade jokes at Charity dinner October 2008
Looking at just how far the GOP has fallen, its given me even greater respect for John McCain. Both he and Obama seem to be enjoying themselves. I long for decency again.

Interesting analysis of alleged Hunter Biden email and why it's deemed a forgery
Sorry if someone posted this already. Someone looked closely at the pdf the NY Post posted as an alleged email on Hunter Bidens alleged laptop. An obvious forgery:
