When Joe wins, THIS WILL BE A WAVE... and let me tell you why

The GOP brought out their best. The sheer amount of turnout that they were able to mobilize is astonishing. Their turnout was MASSIVE and I give them credit for that. The loser will have gotten more votes than his own last win and the previous election winner. Trump is on track beat the current record holder of the candidate with most voters (being Obama's historic election in 2008) in pure vote count... and he's still gonna lose.

Election 2020: Thus far, what has shocked you about this election?

For me, there are a couple things...

1) I didn't expect this election to be a blowout, but I didn't expect it to be the squeaker that it has become.

2) As a Floridian, I wanted Florida to go for Joe (I'm sure we all would have liked that). I had no idea that the GOP-voting population had grown as much as it did since 2016. I didn't expect Trump to completely outperform his 2016 turnout by such a huge number. He's gotten over 1M votes more than he did in 2016.

From the way things are looking, Trump has no path to 270

Trump is currently at 213.

Let’s assume Trump wins Georgia (16EV), NC (15 EV), PA (20 EV), AK (3 EV), ME-02 (1 EV), he’s at 268.

I’m confident we’re gonna hold NV. WI and MI looks like it’s going for Biden.

At this point, I don't give a fuck how close it is, I just want the win

I went to bed at 1:30am thinking “it’s too close for comfort” along with the disappointment of losing my home state of Florida. It’s a complete shock that Trump significantly outperformed his 2016 count in Florida by that much. Where did all these motherfuckers come from all of a sudden?

Waking up this morning, I think our chances are still pretty good.

I don’t care if it’s not a landslide. I don’t care if it’s close. Just get to 270. A win is a win. I will take it!

I hope that enough people see the circus that we saw in 2016

The 2008 election was the first election that I had an actual opinion on. I wasn't old enough to vote at the time but I was old enough to understand what was going on. I rooted for Barack Obama to win but I didn't if he didn't, I didn't think John McCain would be so bad that he would fundamentally change the direction of the country or be a threat to the standing of the US in the world. In 2012, I didn't like Mitt Romney but I didn't think that of him either.

In 2016 however, this was different. This was fuckery like we had never seen before. Being a erratic and impulsive doesn't work for government. We knew this guy was full of shit. We knew this circus of a campaign that we had been looking at for a year and a half would be the same circus we would get in the White House. Yet, a combination of enough people voting 3rd party, enough people not turning out, and enough people voting for him gained him the presidency.

It took me a week to fully digest that Donald Trump had won. I remember waking up at 1am and they were still counting, and waking up again at around 3am to the CNN chyron that said "Clinton concedes to Trump." We knew it was gonna be a long four years. My only hope at the time was that the people that voted for him will see him govern and realize that he's terrible, and enough people will see Donald Trump for the nut job bullshitter that he is and stop supporting him. Come tomorrow, we'll see and I hope that delivers a win for Joe Biden.
