In It to Win It
In It to Win It's JournalDo Democrats ever go to court to get conservative legislation struck down?
If so, I dont hear about it.
Conservative activists have this solution in search of a problem approach when it comes to taking legal action to strike down legislation favored by Democrats.
Does that exist for Democrats?
Rant: I'm listening to an interview getting reactions on Joe And Kamala's win
Ive listened to conservatives who voted for Biden and Ive listened to conservatives that stuck with Trump.
Throughout the interviews of people that decided to stick with Trump, theyve said (1) Biden is a Trojan horse for the rise of socialism, and (2) how liberals have resisted Trump and havent given him a chance.
This rant is about number 2:
I consider myself a reasonable person. If someone wins the presidency, I recognize that win. I dont argue the results if someone that I did not support wins the presidency. I WILL ABSOLUTELY ADMIT THAT I DID NOT GIVE DONALD TRUMP A CHANCE. I WILL ADMIT THAT LOUD AND PROUD! NEVER! EVER! WORST PRESIDENT OF MY SHORT LIFE AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED!
...and let me tell you exactly the reason why. Hes never given us a chance. NOT ONCE did Trump ever try to reach across the aisle. Trump tried to do everything on a partisan party line.
Centrist judges? None!
Centrist legislation? Nope!
Centrist message? Nonexistent!
Compromise? No thanks!
Presidents usually reach across the aisle at some point.
Bill Clinton worked with Republicans, and even signed legislation that Republicans liked. Bill Clinton throughout his presidency moved more to the right as his presidency went along.
Bush 43 reached across the aisle and worked with Democrats. You could even make the argument that Bush 43 moved a little left on certain issues.
Obama started in the center and considered Republican ideas. Obama worked with Republicans where he could. He tried to work with Republican leader John Boehner on legislation that Republicans can get behind.
The Republican leader on the hill couldnt get his own party to stop resisting. They didnt give Barack Obama a chance!
Barack Obama thought about Republicans when he nominated a centrist judge that Republicans claimed they could get behind.
Trump ran on a message of FUCK DEMOCRATS! in 2016.
Trump governed with a FUCK DEMOCRATS! attitude the entire four years.
Trump ran on a FUCK DEMOCRATS! message in 2020.
How exactly am I supposed to give him a chance when hes never given me one?
CNN: It's legal for them to count votes in Pennsylvania two days after the election on November 3rd?
Im not a watch news in the morning kind of person. CNN gave me a morning chuckle.
My TV has been on CNN for a week straight (Im sure like many of us). I turn my TV on and its on CNN and theyre covering a protest of people claiming the election has been stolen.
A woman asks with the straightest face: Its legal for them to count votes in Pennsylvania two days after the election on November 3rd????
Reporter: Yes!
Woman: Youre wrong! Go! I dont even wanna talk to you.
As sad as this is... this is hilarious! Seeing their whiny little snowflake feelings.
GERRYMANDERING: I want to put down the idea that Democrats didn't try to win state legislature races
I posted this is another thread, but I feel this deserves its own, front and center.
We tried to win these state legislative races. We REALLY did. We were playing on rigged maps.
Im in Florida. We focused our efforts on flippable districts ONLY to gain seats in ONE chamber of the Florida legislature because the mapped is so rigged against us. We were only aiming for a gain of 3 seats in one chamber and that would only put us at half of one chamber but thats enough to where have some say in the next map.
Democrats increased their turnout in Florida by A LOT compared to 2016. The GOP turned out their base BY EVEN MORE. Their expansion was far greater than the Democrats expansion and much bigger than anyone expected. Because of that, we didnt pick up anything. All of their judges got re-elected. They didnt lose any seats in the legislature.
In addition to Florida, we focused our efforts in Texas, NC and a host of states just to flip only a few seats because we have no path to a majority in anything. The only and absolute best thing we could possibly accomplish was an EVEN SPLIT in ONE CHAMBER of each state legislature. There was no possibility of a majority anywhere because of their rigged maps.
I'm curious: If Joe Biden can improve relations with China, and get an actual beneficial trade deal
with China buying our farmers crops again, would that improve our standing with rural voters?
In my mind, I dont see why we can also be a party that includes rural voters. I dont understand the deep loyalty rural voters have to the GOP. I really dont get it.
I think Trump has left an opening for Democrats to improve its standing with rural voters because he has fucked up so royally.
I bring this up because the patches of dirt in Wyoming, the Dakotas, and the other flyover states send more people to the Senate than the Democratic Party does.

I WANT ALL THE NETWORK TO EXPLORE WHY REPUBLICANS LOST THE PRESIDENCY
Like they did in 2016.
2 years of why Dems lost after 2016.
2 years of covering Democrat soul searching.
Now, its their turn. Do that for them! 2 years of why they lost and 2 years of how they fucked up.
Im ready!
Just a thought: If the Biden campaign has cash leftover, can they give it to the Georgia senate
candidates?
