ZERTErYNOthe's JournalPaul's Botique
When this album came out I didn't really get it. I was a fan of Licensed to Ill (still a great album), but it was so different. It took me a while, but I eventually appreciated it for what it is: A true masterpiece. Here is a link to it on Youtube:

I hope others appreciate it as well.
Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go (Extended Version / Medley)
Tainted Love by Soft Cell got a lot of radio and video play, for good reason, but it was cut short, something I only found recently.
Here is the full, extended version, Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go. I hope you like this as much as I do.

Pre-Rinsing dishes?
An interesting article from Washington Post:
Experts say dont pre-rinse your dishes. We put that advice to the test.
The logistical, psychological and personal factors that influence our dishwashing habits
Theres all kinds of wisdom, advice and directives surrounding your home. Much of it, we take as gospel: Change your HVAC filter every three months. Clean your gutters at least once a year. Dont ignore signs of leaks.
But when it comes to washing dishes, the conventional wisdom meets significant resistance.

Honestly, I've struggled with knowing when my dishes are clean enough to put in the dishwasher (only somewhat joking). I'm willing to change my ways. My 20+ year old dishwasher is on it's last legs (it is now loudly protesting each load by sounding like an angle grinder against loose metal), so when I get my new dishwasher I will try to not rinse.
I am in one of the categories described in the article: It is just the two of us, so only about twice weekly dishwasher loads are needed. This seems a bit more challenging, since it gives time for the food to truly harden!
In any case, I thought I would pass this on hoping others find it useful! And maybe saving some time and water.
Stand by your man
I have an enduring love for Tammy Wynette as well as Lemmy and Wendy O. It's not for everyone, but here is Stand by your man:
Triumph Herald
Just curious if any of you folks remember the Triumph Herald. I have a 1963 convertible, I can share more if there is interest.
Strange story out of Clarion PA
Odd story out of my hometown: A man from Natchez, Mississippi, with a criminal record, who was an employee of a local gas station, and living in a hotel near the gas station, took a change purse accidentally left behind by a customer. He wouldn't give his true name to police, so they asked his employer for the information, which they gave. Now he is a resident of the Clarion County jail.
I guess he was desperate for money, and thought he found something that could help him survive, but he had to know he would be found out, right? Everything is on video.
The other strange thing is that a local business is hiring a drifter from Mississippi, when unemployment is a concern in the area. I guess it is because "no one wants to work"?

AC/DC - Let there be rock
I grew up with classical music, as well as some country (true country, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, ...) and current hits, like Anne Murray, Carly Simon, Glen Campbell, all on the local AM radio. It was a big deal when we got an FM station.
I was able to hear some more pop stuff (like Bay City Rollers!?) at the local swimming pool. And And then my Sister played for me an AC/DC album she picked up somewhere. It changed my life in many ways. Can we appreciate the Bon Scott era of AC/DC?
