Anti Fascism Just Lost A Giant
Max Levitas, who has died at 103.
Max was fined £10 in 1934, aged 19, for painting anti-Blackshirt graffiti on Nelsons column when Mosleys thugs rallied.
In 1936, he was a message runner at the battle of Cable Street.

His words:
I viscerally hate your President
I mean it. Pure hate. I cannot do anything about it cause I don't have a vote. The only thing I can do at the moment is boycott America. Which means for my Autumn break I cannot head to our place in the sunshine state, I have to head to Bermuda instead. Not a bad plan, but our second home should not be out of bounds cause MAGA. I cannot bring myself to give a penny of my hard earned money to the Trump dynasty.
Do me and the rest of the world a favour...
Just sayin'
Wisconsin conservative admits he'd shoot his sister in the face for Trump: 'She has to know how....
....passionate I am
--------
Steve Spaeth, a 40-year-old West Bend man who operates a home exteriors company, told the reporter during the Oct. 24 rally in Mosinee that hate was not too strong a word to describe his feelings toward anyone he considers a political enemy.
---------
The reporter asked Spaeth how far he would be willing to take his hatred, and he told Pilkington he would gladly and violently turn on his sister, a liberal who votes Democratic.
If there is a civil war in this country and you were on the wrong side, Spaeth said he told his sister, I would have no problem shooting you in the face.
The reporter asked if he was joking, and Spaeth insisted he was serious.
No, I am not, he said. I love my sister, we get on great. But she has to know how passionate I am about our president.

Good grief....the cult of Trump at its starkist.
Eight simple steps to fix American democracy
If a backswing brings us a Democratic government with a mandate for reform, here are eight simple steps they could take to try and fix, reform and improve our flawed democracy.
1) Abolish the electoral college
2) Pass a new Voting Rights Act
3) Ban gerrymandering
4) End the filibuster
5) Get dark money out of politics
6) Introduce term limits for the Supreme Court
7) Grant statehood to Washington DC and Puerto Rico
8) Lower the voting age to 16
-----------
The temptation for Democrats post-November, and post-2020 if they win back the White House, will be to spend their political capital on big-ticket items that are popular with the base: universal healthcare, debt-free college, investment in infrastructure.
But democratic reform cannot be seen as a side or secondary issue. Expanding the number of citizens who can vote, and making sure all votes count, should appeal to Democrats both for principled and pragmatic reasons: in terms of principle, it is good for democracy that citizens can exercise their right to vote; in terms of pragmatism, it is good for the Democratic Party for poorer and more diverse voters to be able to exercise their democratic rights.

Gateway Pundit: Mueller's "Accuser" Has Fled, Won't Be At Press Conference After All As She Fears...
...For Her Life
Surprise!!!!!!
The woman accusing Mueller of rape was slated to detail her encounter with the special counsel at a press conference Burkman and Wohl are hosting in Arlington, Virginia Thursday at noon.
However, upon arriving in Washington, DC she panicked and boarded a flight to another location. Below is a photo of Wohl and the accuser, who at this time is fearful for her life and requests to remain anonymous.

Oh my!!! What a surprise....NOT
How the hell did I end up back in 1985?
My old company was bought out in August and I moved across the head up what is now a new division of a well established company in the London landscape. This has necessitated some change of course, for example, this is the first time in my career that I am the only female on the executive team. Makes for some very interesting reactions from the chaps when they realise that I do not take any prisioners, Ever. So far so very normal - being a successful senior executive and female seems to have a very interesting effect on a certain type of chap.... they can do all the willy waving they want - me, I'll just beat them on performance. Much more satisfying.
So far, so typical for a woman in a male dominated environment. Right? Yep.
And then this:
Yes. Really. 2018 and in one of our offices, a shared space with other businesses, I had the misfortune to walk past another businesses office door to see this on the back of it. 2018 and this is still hanging in an office, in the centre of one of the most diverse cities in the world. The reaction when I raised it was a shrug of the shoulders and a 'what can you do attitude' by my male colleagues in the executive team.
How the hell did I end up back in the 1980's?
Heh. Don't get me wrong. I am strong old bint. Very little phases me. However, why should I and all the other women, and probably a lot of the men, have to put up with such blatant sexism in a shared space.
Monday - i take it up with the management of the building...
