BigmanPigman
BigmanPigman's JournalThe Donald is ruining my favorite reruns of old TV shows now.
I can't escape him. Just now while watching Frazier they made a tRump reference, a day ago they did the same on The Nanny. When will I be able to laugh at him again instead of getting angry and sick?
The PINK TAX made me pay 25% more than a man today!
When Congresswoman Jackie Speier introduced a bill to eliminate the Pink Tax a few months ago I was thrilled. But the male leadersnip in Congress have sat on it (what a surprise). When I went to CVS today to buy deodorant I compared prices. The name brand deod. for women had the exact same ingredients and size but cost 25% more than the male variety. I asked the cashier what the difference was and he looked at everything on the packages and said, "None". That is why I bought the "male" variety which was a dark green color as opposed to the literally PINK women's variety.
Why do women have to pay more while we earn less? Why does the MAJORITY (yes, women are 51% of the US population) get penalized in so many ways in this country????!!!!!

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) introduced legislation aimed at preventing companies from pricing similar products and services differently based on gender.
Twenty-seven of Speier's Democratic colleagues signed on to The Pink Tax Repeal Act, which would allow "the Federal Trade Commission to enforce violations and gives State Attorneys General the authority to take civil action on behalf of consumers wronged by discriminatory practices."
Women get hit with a double whammy: They make less for doing the same work and they pay more for the same product or service because its for women," she said in a statement. "Whether its a pink teddy bear, deodorant from the same manufacturer, or a white laundered shirt, its time to say enough! Discrimination is illegal. Speier's introduction of the bill purposefully coincided with national Equal Pay Day.
Do you think we are in a CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS right now?
I have heard very experienced and educated politicians and historians say that we ARE in a constitutional crisis currently.
Ralph Peters left the network in March after sending a blistering farewell note to some of his colleagues. The note shocked the TV news industry because he accused Fox of "assaulting our constitutional order. " He said that we ARE in a constitutional crisis NOW as have many, many others who are outright scared.

tRump thinks he can pardon himself...Tom Steyer says NO!
https://www.needtoimpeach.com/trump-pardons/Earlier this week, Donald Trump tweeted that he has the absolute right to pardon himself.
His perception is not only wrong, it is completely counter to one of the core principles of our democracythat no one, not even the president, is above the law.
My team put together a new videotake a look, and then forward this email to five of your friends and lets spread our message further. In a 20-page memo leaked over the weekend, Trumps legal team tries to make the argument that Trump cannot obstruct justice because he gets to determine what constitutes justice. This argument is flawed for multiple reasons, but most importantly because, despite his apparent views to the contrary, Trump is not a king.
Trump is normalizing his lawlessness, all the while claiming hes done nothing wrong and has nothing to hide. We cant accept this from any leader. In the face of this unconstitutional behavior, we must unite and resist.
Lets keep the pressure on, and show Trump we will hold him accountable for his defiance to our democracy.
Forward this email and encourage your friends and family to join our movement:

Thank you,
Tom Steyer
One third of the votes in San Diego are from brand new voters
a person on PBS just told the reporters. They expect more of them to be Dem than GOP. San Diego is sort of GOP due to military bases around here....depends on where you live.
Does anyone actually like voting in person best?
I love it, the entire experience. It is a "grown up" thing, it is official, it is secret, it means your opinion is valid. I get mail in ballots but I always take them in in person. I am proud of the entire process. Seeing MY name on a list, sliding my envelope into the official box, knowing that the poll workers are happy to see me, the quiet room where serious people are trying to fill the forms out and not mess up, and getting a sticker that says I VOTED for my dog, one for myself and a sheet of them in 4 different languages (for my first graders who voted all year long when I was a teacher), walking home from the polls feeling civic pride. I even save the booklets to see the results. I can see all of my dog's stickers on all of her stuffed animals from years of voting too.
HAPPY VOTING EVERYONE!

Phila Eagles will not go to W House Tues.
Many eagles players did NOT want to go, so then the whole team was UNinvited. Yeah PHILA! The founding fathers of our "city of brotherly love" would definitely approve!
The Eagles were set to visit the White House on Tuesday. Its a tradition that has been in place for quite some time.
However, multiple members of the team have said they didnt plan to take the trip. Malcolm Jenkins and Chris Long are two of the more prominent players that wont be there because of their differences with President Donald Trump.
On Monday, Trump released a statement regarding the visit he had planned for the Eagles. To summarize, he told them they are no longer invited.
