I cannot believe that 'when the soul enters the body' is actually part of the abortion debate

in any remotely serious way.

Specifically I've seen people being interviewed on news shows talking about this idea, and then the host credulously going along with it, like it's an actual 'thing'.

Souls are supernatural/magical beings, and therefore ... they're not real. There's no such thing. They're a made-up idea, to comfort people who are scared of death (because 'your soul' is the church-advertised vessel of one's immortality).

And even if you do entertain this (imho, absurd) concept based on your 'faith', it's still the case that it's based on 'religion', and different ideas about when that process (lol) 'happens' abound across different major religions.

So at the very least, if we're just abandoning separation of church and state, and placing everyone's 'faith' (and belief in magical beings) at the top of the proverbial food chain, shouldn't there be 'religious exemptions' that allow abortion for people of faiths who do NOT condemn abortions before a certain point?

Netflix - How to Build a Sex Room

My GF and I enjoy it so far (just finished Ep 4).

She seems to be pretty entertained by the bondage gear.

And the Poly family's little setup in Ep. 3 and 4 ... I could tell she thought it was pretty hot. For my part I was like ... dang, show's starting to get good now ... finally bringing on some actual freaky people

The gay guys story was also cute.

Anyways ... anyone else watching?

Bathroom plumbing advice?

So my bathtub AND sink (in the same bathroom) are both draining slowly. Sink is SUPER slow (can be hours), bathtub less so but still annoying (standing in 1.5-2" of water by the end of my shower depending how long, and it takes about 15-30 mins to drain).

Other stuff around the house does fine, 2nd bathroom seems okay, toilets in both are okay and not clogging up, dishwasher and washing machine okay. Seems to be just these two drains, in this one room.

Anyone have any advice?

It's not something dumb and obvious where both the drains are just clogged in their upper portions around the pop-up assemblies, I've checked that. It's deeper down for sure.

TIA friends

grace potter, jackson browne, marcus king, lucius - eachother (2020) best pandemic song?

Not gonna lie, Paul Simon could probably sue for how much this sounds like 'Slip Sliding Away', but it's just so friggin good, and so on point for 2020.

Also, sorry for the repost but this tune and performance has stuck with me.

Enjoy, friends

A lot of talk about what's going to be coming next down the pipeline, Post-Roe

But this is an 'interesting' thing my lovely GF (a medical professional) informed me of hearing about today, talking with her associates (mostly women).

"Some doctors still think a woman needs her husband’s permission for surgery on her own body. A Washington mother of two shared her story of discrimination at her OBGYN, and her story went viral — not because it was rare, but because many women could relate."

I found it astounding, I had no idea. We know there's something 'next' ... wonder if it could be this. Total Handmaid shit.

Given that there's a Federal Law banning interstate travel for purposes of sex with minors

already on the books ... I'm guessing SCOTUS will quickly green-light the next anti-choice case that lands on their docket, which will likely be one concerning interstate travel for the purpose of abortion.

Kinda seems like it's the same legal principle involved in the two instances, but please tell me how I'm wrong?
