As I understand it, AG Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller

Clearly he - Mueller came in with a preset notion and bias given what we have seen.

Can Congress commission their own investigation? Is this something that Pelosi can do (not talking about impeachment but that would be fine by me). Appoint a neutral and unbiased Democrat to run it? Then we can compare the two reports and decide further action.

I just feel like we have been scammed all along.

Is Mueller done and packing up his office?

Or standing by for further orders?

Or busy working on others things that haven't been turned in yet?

Seems like if he is truly done, maybe it's time for Congress to give him additional things to investigate. God knows there is plenty more.

I've never understood why so many have been praising and worshipping a Republican anyway

Mueller is a lifelong Republican. Everytime I mentioned that I was told over and over "yes he is, but he's different".

We don't know what's in the report. All we know is how Washington is reacting. And I don't see a reaction that reflects a President on his way out.

Time will tell. But I think the worship of Republican Mueller will be a little less over the coming days and weeks.

The house should call for a special prosecutor for Judge Ellis

Or maybe add this to Muellers list.

Pretty clear that this judge has been paid off.

Could this shutdown last months? Years?

I was sure it would be over by now. People are really starting to hurt.

If Trump won't budge, are their legal means are available to force him to budge?

Impeachment proceedings? What about an injunction? 25th amendment? This cannot be allowed to last much longer.

Can Mueller order Trump to resume government, since this amounts to essentially obstruction of justice (funding of his investigation)?

Can Pelosi declare an emergency and provide funding?

I just can't believe that we are at the mercy of this man.

Trump should be impeached for the shutdown alone.

The Mueller probe will continue of course, but could go on for years.

This shutdown, the longest in world history is a solid reason and cannot be denied.

Perhaps the new congress can advance things up a little.

Trump is the second President of the Social Media age

And he weaponized it and pointed that weapon at our heads.

Using it to collect untold riches from foreign governments, and turn our own psyches against it.

This alone is reason enough to impeach him, and ban candidates from social media.

When Trump is impeached, what if he refuses to leave office?

Like any game of chess, it's important to think past the next move.

I'm convinced that Trump will be impeached, sometime in the next year or so. However, our assumption that he just packs up leaves needs to be examined.

This is a guy who had the Russians steal the election for him (or at least was the recipient of Russian action), so it only follows that he(or Russia) would resist impeachment when it comes to that.

What if he orders the Military to enforce his rule (using generals he installs/promotes)? What if he mobilizes the NRA in support?

I know it's easy to say "one step at a time, we'll worry about that later", but we really do need to some succession and follow on planning.

IF we can secure our airports, we can secure our schools

While the TSA gets a bad rap, they have done an excellent job of keeping our airports safe.

Maybe we should look at expanding the TSA to protect our nations schools. STSA?

Expensive? I'm sure. But nothing that a tax on guns and bullets wouldn't solve and our kids are worth it.

How about a -real- buyback. Mandatory, say $10,000 per AR-15

Make it a carrot and stick.

$10,000 cash, tax free per weapon if you turn it in.
If caught with it, 10 years in jail.

While this would be expensive, this would be a MASSIVE economic boost and solve the gun problem at the same time.

Those kinda of numbers - would get the gunners attention and cooperation (for the most part)
