This is why we can't have nice things:Portand Rose Parade canceled amidst threats of ANTIFA violence
This shit is getting out of hand.
It's only a matter of time before someone is killed.
Portland rose parade canceled after antifascists threaten GOP marchers
For 10 years, the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business Association has kicked off the city of Portlands annual Rose Festival with a family-friendly parade meant to attract crowds to its diverse neighborhood.
Set to march in the parades 67th spot this year was the Multnomah County Republican Party, a fact that so outraged two self-described antifascist groups in the deep blue Oregon city that they pledged to protest and disrupt the April 29 event.
Then came an anonymous and ominous email, according to parade organizers, that instructed them to cancel the GOP groups registration or else.
You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely, the anonymous email said, referring to the violent riots that hit Portland after the 2016 presidential election, reported the Oregonian. This is nonnegotiable.
The email said that 200 people would rush into the parade and drag and push those marching with the Republican Party

There are dozens of videos posted of the event. How many instances can you find of the
cops conducting any meaningful and effective actions to break up the fights or disperse people...
even when the ANTIFA people were throwing M-80's, rocks and debris into the crowd?
https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=EgIIAw%253D%253D&q=berkeley+riot
For that matter, what plans did they have to even keep the two groups separated from
one another?
Seriously... temporary safety/snow fencing and plastic posts that could be knocked over by
a fart, that's your plan?
Where were the police during the Berkeley riot?

Berkeley fears repeat of violence at planned pro-Trump rally
The Berkeley farmers market has been open for business every Saturday for 30 years, save the time gale-force winds shut it down. But it will be closed Saturday, as organizers fear the fallout from a second pro-President Trump rally in as many months near the markets home.
The people who run the Ecology Center Farmers Market next to Civic Center Park decided this week not to set up their stalls Saturday because of concerns of more violence from the rally, which is set to start at noon in the park near Berkeley City Hall, said Martin Bourque, the markets executive director.
The closure was the clearest sign of concern among businesses and residents about a rally being organized by a loose collective of far-right groups. One of them, Oath Keepers, which says it will provide security, has been categorized as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Shit storm brewing in Berkeley tomorrow
This will not end well for either side...
DEFEND THE BAY! BLOC PARTY & COOKOUT
The "Alt-Right" is coming back to Berkeley...
But we will gladly escort them back out! Let's come together to enjoy music, food, speakers, and each other's company while we drown out the embarrassing attempts of racists and nationalists to display their hate-fueled support for Trump. Let's fill MLK park with our resilient bodies before these bigots can even show their faces, prevent their rally, and send the message that we aren't down with the hate all while enjoying dope beats and delicious BBQ. ??
We gonna cook the fash out of Berkeley!
WHAT TO BRING:
#1 YOUR CREW ?? - Do not come alone! It is crucial to bring your friends so that you can have each other's backs if something were to go down. Even though our goal is to shut down the pro-Trump rally before it can even happen, there is a pattern of fascists and Trump supporters coming armed to rallies and attacking anti-racists, especially targetting Black, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming people.*
#2 A MASK?? - Masking up or otherwise concealing your identity helps protect you from the alt-right and the state. There is a risk of the alt-right doxxing individuals for the purposes of online harassment campaigns which can lead to off-line consequences. You also want to assure the state does not identify you so they cannot target you for repression later on. Consider bringing an extra mask in case someone else might need one!
#3 FOOD (if you can)?? - Bring food to share if you can, but no worries if you can't!
*In the last year, emboldened by Trump's hate campaign, we have seen an intense rise in white supremacist activity and targetted attacks. From burning Black churches to vandalizing Mosques, there is no limit to how low these bigots will stoop. And we have seen the horrors they commit when confronted in the streets. From the shooting of a GDC member in Seattle at a Milo Yiannopoulos protest to the 7 people (almost all of whom were Black or Trans) stabbed by neo-nazis on June 26th, 2016 at the state's capital Trump supporters and the far-right aren't hesitant to commit heinous acts of violence. After all, they have the support of the white-supremacist State and the badged goons! So while we're out there enjoying ourselves, let's remember to be careful, keep our eyes peeled and have each other's backs.
