More probate problems

Our lawyer handling our probate now wants more money to write a deed that we discussed when we hired him as being part of the package. Finally the probate is done by the court and he wants to mail the letters to me. I’m not sure if that is safe. He said he was going to do the deed and then I would come and pick up the deed and the letters. I thought that would take him a couple of weeks. I am currently recovering from a fracture so I am supposed to limit activity.

What should we do here? This has been a long and terrible experience. We already paid him a small fortune for the whole thing and there is still another probate in another country to do. I guess he’s going to charge more for that too. I don’t know if it would be cheaper just to pay him to do the deed etc. or hire someone else. He basically said to me do I want him to do the deed when he called me a couple of days ago. I said yes that was part of the agreement. I remember in the contract it said it could be more for other things that needed to be done but we had already discussed doing that and he didn’t tell me at the time that the deed was going to be extra.

Will it be more expensive to hire another lawyer to do a deed and help with the rest of the probate or should we just do it with him? I am really ready for a looney bin after all of this it has been one problem after another. Before you die please make sure that you have a living trust to transfer everything you want to transfer so whoever is inheriting will not have to go through the nightmare that I have lived through with all of this in addition to the nightmare of the murder of my father. He was trying to do that before he died for part of the estate but he was too ill - it should’ve been done long ago. I remember after my friend/ neighbor died talking to her son after the funeral, and he said she took care of all of that 20 years ago so they didn’t have to do any of this.

How do I delete the titter app off my ipad?

I thought I had deleted it yesterday and then I accidentally touched a Twitter post here and it opened up again I went into the app area and there doesn’t seem to be any way to really get it permanently off of my iPad.

I am reposting this so people can still give me some input. Unfortunately someone alerted my post when I posted it by accident in GD, was that really necessary? I see so many things posted in GD that really should not be there, and this was an innocent post doing no harm to anyone. Unfortunately I can't reply to anyone now.

I stayed up all night to take an early class on lectures etc. and was told to join the meeting with my phone and ignore the message to select join with dial or audio etc. Unfortunately, that did not work as I explained to the instructor, the phone app will not let me join unless I click join with no audio. Then we tested it with my brother as a participant, me as the computer host and the phone as a camera and I made it larger again but again I am not sure how I managed to make the phone camera the dominant image, just by clicking on I think?

But anyway, it did not solve the issue because when he was unmuted the echo etc. came back. So there is no way, maybe, for me to host on the computer, demonstrate the drawing with the phone as camera and still be able to see what students are doing and talk to them. I am sure there must be a way to do this. If anyone has any more ideas please let me know, and thank you for all the help I did receive.

But tonight in a class when I was using the phone camera to demonstrate and the laptop to talk to the class there was a bad echo. Also the pic was tiny but someone told me how to make it larger and now I have forgotten how I did that.

*To clarify I am demonstrating a drawing using the phone as a camera and using a laptop as the host to do other things.

Trouble with voice recordings

I am having trouble with my voice doing recorded lectures. My voice is so hoarse I can barely do this and I keep making mistakes and have to do it over again. I’m only recording one slide at a time also. So that should make it easier. But some of these are long lectures, one which had over 100 slides and the current one has about 35.

I tried doing some of my singing exercises that I used to do in the past when I had problems lecturing in person after a botched endoscopy which damaged my vocal cords. I have had constant nasal drip for years that comes down into the back of my throat.

I just had a terrible coughing fit while I was drinking tea and eating. Not doing any recordings. I had to take a cough drop. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t take the anti-histamines, I tried the steroid inhaler in my nose just to see if it would help but I think maybe it made it worse, I’m not sure.

I wonder what else to do here. I’ve done the ginger tea, I can’t take honey, sips of water, trying to rest in between. I really don’t want to have to go to the ENT and almost every time I have gone to them they were useless, except for telling me to do singing lessons a long time ago.

Someone said the worst thing you can do is clear your throat if you’re singing, the odd thing is I was able to sing pretty well right after the coughing fit and having the cough drop and drinking a little more tea. But my speaking voice still sounds hoarse and awful. It’s not like laryngitis, it just sounds gravelly and hoarse and I feel strain. I am getting so stressed out about how bad it sounds each time I have to record a slide.
