NOBODY for President! Wavy Gravy might be the coolest guy ever.

From here:

SNIP>

Who is your favorite for the 2016 Presidential Election?

Well, [in 1964] The Committee supported LBJ, and then he came in with [Secretary of Defense] Bob McNamara and killed more than anybody since Atilla the Hun. In ‘68, we ran a pig for president, Pigasus, and she was the first black and white and female candidate. In ‘72 we came back from Asia and ran a rock for president. I had this great rock I got from the base of Mount Ararat and we ran a roll for vice president. At different rallies we passed out different rolls, like cinnamon rolls, or jelly rolls, or bagels, so you could always eat the Vice President, as the roll kept changing.

Then up the spinal telegraph came the concept of “Nobody for President”

Who keeps all campaign promises? Nobody

Who should have that much power? Nobody

Who bakes apple pie better than Mom? Nobody

Nobody was president before George Washington!

Hey, let’s face it, Nobody’s perfect!

So we fully embraced Nobody [starting in ‘76]. I became Nobody’s Fool. The president has Air Force One, well our car was the Nobody One. We ran Nobody for quite some time. Until I defected for Barack [Obama] and all the anarchists got on my case, and I said, “Well Nobody made me do it” and they couldn’t argue with that.

So where I’m gonna go with in 2016 is Nobody’s guess. I haven’t heard everyone’s horseshit and we’ll see who piles it deepest. I do love Bernie [Sanders], I love Bernie, I don’t know who I’m gonna vote for, but I love Bernie. Hillary [Clinton] intrigues me, anybody but those Republicans. I’d like to vote for someone I think can win.

Same Sex Couple Threaten Not To Give A Shit If Other Couple Divorces

?itok=72TxD8e1&mtime=1433984882
In response to threats from a Canberra couple to divorce were equal marriage laws to pass, a local couple in a committed same-sex relationship have in turn threatened to absolutely not give the slightest shit were that to happen.

Local couple Brett and Harry have said that while they are not heterophobic and do their best to be open to all different kinds of views if this divorce does go ahead they will have no choice but to go on with their lives completely unaffected by such a dumb stunt.

Woman Involved in Starting McKinney Pool Fight Placed on Administrative Leave by CoreLo

Source: Daily KOS

After a video of a 15 year old African-American teen being slammed into the ground by McKinney Police Officer Eric Casebolt went viral over the weekend, a twitter campaign was launched to identify the woman involved in the fight that led to police being called. Tracey Carver-Allbritton has now been placed on administrative leave by her employer, CoreLogic Inc.

While the primary focus of the incident in McKinney, TX has been calling for the termination of now resigned Corporal Eric Casebolt, Twitter launched an impromptu campaign to identify the two women confirmed to have made racist comments that led to the fight and the police being called in the first place. The video begins with an adult white woman and what appears to be a much younger African American girl locked in a fight, with each holding the others hair attempting to throw punches. A group of black teens initially act as observers but eventually try to separate the two. Another woman, now known as Tracey-Carver Allbritton, at first seems to be trying to break up the fight, but quickly decides to start throwing punches to the top of the younger girls head. After a few seconds the fight is broken up and both parties go their separate ways.

Forget the G7 summit – Bilderberg is where the big guns go

Covering issues from Europe to terrorism and IT, the lesser known Bilderberg policy conference includes prime ministers, CEOs from banks, airlines, oil and the arms industry, and even George Osborne

As one summit closes, another opens. Thursday sees the start of the influential Bilderberg policy conference, which this year is being held in Austria, just 16 miles south of the G7 summit, and in a similarly inaccessible luxury alpine resort. The participant list for the conference has just been released by the organisation, and some big names leap off the page.

No fewer than three serving European prime ministers will be attending, from the Netherlands, Finland and Belgium. They will be discussing “European strategy” with the head of Nato, Jens Stoltenberg, and the president of Austria, Heinz Fischer. Two European finance ministers are on the list: one Dutch, the other George Osborne. The UK chancellor is a regular attendee of the Bilderberg summit, and this year he will be showing off his post-election glow. Unlike that other Bilderberg regular, Ed Balls, who is being invited back despite having by some considerable distance the weakest job title on the list: “former shadow chancellor of the exchequer.
Bilderberg 2014: George Osborne and the man at the centre of everything

Europe’s hottest financial potato, Greece, is on the conference agenda, and it’s good to know Benoît Coeuré, a member of the executive board of the European Central Bank, will be there to discuss it in strictest privacy with interested parties, such as the heads of Deutsche Bank, Lazard, Banco Santander and HSBC.

Bernie Sanders’ Momentum Is Growing As He Gets 41% Support In Wisconsin Straw Poll

The growing momentum surrounding the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign took another step forward over the weekend. In a display of strength, Sanders got 41% of support in the Wisconsin Democratic Party straw poll to 49% for Hillary Clinton.

Rick Klein of ABC News reported, “Straw polls don’t count for anything, and second place is, well, second place. But how many of these before it will become something? Hillary Clinton captured 49 percent of the vote at the Wisconsin Democratic Party’s convention over the weekend, in a straw poll conducted by WisPolitics.com. The story, though, was second place: Bernie Sanders got 41 percent, just eight points behind Clinton and far ahead of his low-single-digits rivals. It’s the latest sign that Sanders is poised to inherit at least a solid portion of the Ready-for-Warren energy. And it speaks to a longstanding contention that if Clinton is vulnerable, it’s on her left.”

CA voters, who is the Cannabis candidate for US Senate?

Q: I was just wondering how our U.S. senators feel about marijuana. I haven’t heard much.

—Jeff

A: I’m glad you asked. And, no, it is not too early to start discussing the 2016 election for the Senate. As it stands now, the Democratic field has two main challengers, with Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez recently throwing her hat into the ring against California Attorney General Kamala Harris. Although Harris is the favorite, I feel Sanchez would be a better choice for cannabis users, and Californians in general, since marijuana legalization would be a boon to the welfare and economy of the entire state. Sanchez has a history of marijuana law reform support: In 2009, she told CNN, “So maybe it would be a good pilot program to see how that regulation of marijuana might happen in California since the … majority of Californians believe maybe that should happen.” Harris has recently shifted her stance somewhat; last week, she told the annual Convention of California Democrats that, “The war on drugs has failed,” and, “Now is the time to end the federal ban on marijuana,” but she still giggles every time she mentions marijuana, like she can’t believe what she just said. Either one would be better than Senator Dianne Feinstein though. When does she retire? She hates weed. https://www.newsreview.com/sacramento/high-active/content?oid=17299406

Every Serena Williams win comes with a side of disgusting racism and sexism

Serena Williams beat Lucie Safarova to win the French Open Saturday. Her reward, at least on social media, came in the form of some of the same racist and sexist comments that have followed her for her entire career.

In the moments surrounding her win, Williams was compared to an animal, likened to a man, and deemed frightening and horrifyingly unattractive. One Twitter user who wrote that Williams "looks like a gorilla, and sounds like a gorilla when she grunts while hitting the ball. In conclusion, she is a gorilla." And another described her as "so unbelievably dominant...and manly". ESPN sports commentator Bomani Jones responded to those reactions — as well as to the ones that dismissed them as subjective commentary — with a series of tweets..
