I'm definitely a pup person, but I do love cats...(for your Monday):

Especially when they have attitude like this (saw this making the rounds on Twitter, and it made me laugh):

Just renewed my Star Membership!

I actually left DU for a few of months because of the primaries. I would come back to check on the headlines (because I believe DU is THE BEST place for news), but I wasn't engaging any longer—and I actually found it relieving because it was getting too stressful reading and getting involved in the posts.

I was a Bernie supporter—always loved him, and still do!—and I didn't like the idea of signing the "primary agreement" before the candidate was actually chosen. So, I decided to leave until the primary was over.

During the DNC, I stood (I like standing very often when I watch tv) and watched the last night while Chelsea was speaking. I didn't like the video preamble before Hillary came out (I thought it was too Academy Awards and I was probably rolling my eyes), but after listening to Hillary's speech, I slowly came around. I think what finally got me was when she said "Okay I get it. You want to know who I am" (or something to that effect), and she gave a background on her life. It was enlightening.

Anyways, I'm happy to be back because I love DU, and I'm glad there's more cohesion here.

Clinton & Gore on Donahue (Oct 1992)

We'd be in a lot better shape if Gore would have won in 2000.

:D Zimmerman's gun auction...

I was wondering what happened to this evil SOB's gun auction:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/05/14/zimmerman-deletes-reposts-auction-gun-used-kill-martin/84389940/

In a chat below the listing, one site visitor asked where all the previous bids had gone. Zimmerman responded, "The previous auction and bids were purged due to illegitimate bidding. Yes, this auction is real."

As of late Saturday evening, there were no bids on the listing, which carried a minimum bid of $100,000 and an instant purchase price of $500,000.

Flooding in Guangzhou, China...

This was posted by a friend of mine on FB. I guess they had torrential rains in Guangzhou China.
It amazed me how calm everyone was on the public transportation.

FoxNN

I never watch CNN. But i was at the gym and it was on in front of me.

They were talking about the upcoming Dem debate, however, all I saw was negative news about Sanders (either that or news about Trump).

One thing they were focused on while I was watching (and eventually turned away) was "Sanders' supporters harassing super delegates." Really? Supporters? I could see it being news if it was Sanders' staff harassing delegates—and it was quite obvious that was what they were trying to put forth.

CNN is become so much like Fox: it's obvious they have an agenda to push, and the news comes second.

Nausea-worthy watching.

Bernie birdie...

This has probably been posted, but it gave me a healthy chuckle, so I had to post it on DU:

Email/newsletter from Bernie, "A national disgrace"

I'm sure a lot of us saw the email from Bernie Sanders: "A national disgrace." I hardly ever read the political emails, because I get so many from the DNC, and other orgs that I've donated to.

But I decided to read Bernie's "A national disgrace" email/newsletter regarding the Arizona voting travesty yesterday.

"What happened yesterday in Arizona should be considered a national disgrace. I got an email last night from a woman who waited five hours to vote in Arizona. Five hours.

We don't know how many thousands of people didn't get to cast their ballots yesterday in Arizona because they couldn't afford to wait that long. Scenes on cable news last night showed hundreds of people in line at 11:30pm in Phoenix – more than four hours after polls closed. Voting should not be this difficult.
...
"

It's a great piece. The first thing that struck me was that this may be a test pilot for other states. I imagine the GE is going to be a huge mess in Arizona.

Anyways, that was all I wanted to say.
Have a great Thursday!

Instead of setting up metal detectors at Trump rallies...

they need to have mental detectors.
