LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 1965 Gibson SG electric guitar owned by Tom Petty will be auctioned, along with one the late rocker’s top hats.

Heritage Auctions announced Monday that the auction will occur on July 21. It says the guitar was played by Petty during his 1986 tour with Bob Dylan.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the guitar will benefit two Southern California charities, The Midnight Mission that helps the homeless and the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund.

The guitar and top hat are being sold by Petty’s friend, Norm Harris, who runs a rare guitar shop. Heritage says Harris sold the guitar to Petty. The rocker returned it to Harris years later after his friend gave him another rare instrument.

The U.S. Embassy in London issued an alert on Tuesday to Americans in the British capital, warning them to keep a low profile during President Donald Trump’s visit later this week in case protests against him turn violent.

Trump arrives in Britain on Thursday after a NATO summit and thousands of protesters are expected to join demonstrations during his visit, including plans to fly a blimp over parliament portraying Trump as an orange, snarling baby.

While Britain regards the United States as its closest ally, some Britons see Trump as crude, volatile and opposed to their values on a range of issues. His comments on militant attacks in Britain and his re-tweeting of anti-Muslim videos posted by a leader of a far-right UK party sparked anger.

More than 50,000 people have signed up to demonstrate in London on Friday against his visit although a counter-gathering to welcome him is also planned.

On the strength of a social media campaign, Green Day's 2004 single "American Idiot" has returned to the U.K. singles chart, where it currently sits at No. 18, 14 years after it peaked at No. 3.

The campaign timed itself to coincide with the arrival of President Donald Trump on Thursday.

Billboard reports that back in May a Twitter account using the screen name "@TrumpIdiotNo1" and describing itself as "American Idiot for UK No.1 When Trump Visits" launched, asking people to buy or stream the song in the week leading up to Trump's visit. As of press time, the account has more than 1,600 followers.

Benczkowski refuses to recuse himself from the Russia investigation despite having worked for a Russian bank under investigation for ties to Trump. He also pushed for Comey’s firing to AG Sessions while serving on the Trump transition team. Those are clear conflicts of interest.

Joe Trillo is a conservative businessman who was a Republican state representative.

Trillo was campaigning over the weekend by flying a large banner from his 65-foot yacht, the Lady M, as he sailed by beaches blaring patriotic music.

But Trillo got too close to shore, running aground and requiring rescue by the U.S. Coast Guard.
