Just had this fantasy involving Leonard Nimoy's Spock as Special Prosecutor, rather than Mueller...

...picture it.

Day one, Spock shows up for duty. Everyone's going "HEY! It's MISTER SPOCK!" All a little star-struck and awe-struck.

Spock takes it all in stride, responding with zero emotion and an economy of words, as is his style.

And day by day it's one Trump family member and administration member after another and one more scandal and one more leaked document and one more connection to Russia and one more lie about something that was floated three months ago, but Kellyanne and Spicey lied about it, so the press backed down, and then WaPo or NYT found documents that proved the lie, and...

All of a sudden you can see that Spock isn't holding up well, and his vocabulary largely becomes 4-letter and 10-letter words, throwing things made of glass at the walls just to hear the sound of them breaking, and having outbursts and yelling things like "What the F*CK? I mean, SERIOUSLY, what the F*CKING F*CK," and the agents are trying to calm him down and that only makes him yell more...sort of like Pon Farr, but he doesn't get to have sex OR duel to the death, he just keeps imploding.

...that's what it felt like tonight when I got about 15 minutes into Tweety's show and switched over to Blue Bloods reruns. Truth has become stranger than the cheapest and most rancid form of fiction, and I know Don Junior effed up, and there's a lot of talk about what's going to be done about it, and meanwhile he's Monty Python's French taunter, up in the turrets on Twitter, telling us that he farts in our general direction, and that we should go boil our bottoms. Dad backs him up, and Kellyanne tells us that it's our fault.

Justice can't be mocked forever...can it?

Day after day after day after day and it only gets deeper and not a goddamned thing is being done about it beyond whatever Mueller is doing behind closed doors.

And I hope that whatever that is will be enough to force Ryan and McConnell to take action, or get inescapably swept up into the charges themselves.

"Who misled you, and why did Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort allow those public denials?"

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, Conway was shown footage from late last year in which she flatly denied there had been any contact between the Trump campaign and Russian government officials.

The ABC host then noted that this statement was incorrect in light of news that Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner had all met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer last year in the hopes that she would reveal damaging information about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Who misled you, and why did Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort allow those public denials to stand for so many months?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“So as I understand it, George, some of those public disclosure forms have been amended since that time to reflect other meetings, including this one,” Conway replied.

Keith Olbermann digs up old Trump tweet that may confirm he knew Don Jr. met with Russian lawyer

Keith Olbermann digs up old Trump tweet that may confirm he knew Don Jr. met with Russian lawyer

Keith Olbermann began Monday with a bombshell revelation by digging up President Donald Trump’s first tweet after former campaign chair Paul Manafort and son Donald Trump Jr. met with the Russian lawyer.

According to the New York Times report, Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya had a previously undisclosed meeting at Trump Tower with campaign officials on June 9, 2016. The meeting was not disclosed despite federal requirements that they do so.

The first tweet Trump sent after the meeting between Manafort, Don Jr. and Veselnitskaya happened to also be the first time Trump mentioned former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s “missing 33,000 emails.”

Hmm...Trump's very 1ST tweet about HRC's "missing 33,000 emails" appears to be from 6/9/16, after Manafort, Kushner, Don Jr met the Russian

Judicial Watch released the 750-page deposition from a top Clinton aide that Thursday in 2016 that said she could not confirm whether emails were deleted. That day was also the day President Barack Obama endorsed Clinton for the General Election. Trump notoriously tweeted earlier that day about the endorsement saying no one wants four more years of Obama. Clinton told Trump to delete his account.

WH strained for resources to staff Melania'a CyberBully Task force & Putin/Trump CyberSecurity Unit

Two very important programs, both instrumental in making America Great Again and ensuring that there is no meddling in our next election from foreign powers, both destined to be delayed indefinitely due to short staffing at the White House.

Melania Trump told Fox & Friends "I really, really, really want to do this. My heart breaks like a fine Riedel Sommeliers wine glass, dropped to the floor by a careless servant and shattered into a hundred pieces. I sit in my room and look out the window daily and grieve over the countless, helpless victims of senseless, insensitive, unacceptable, sexist misogynist statements on the Web, particularly on such Social Media platforms such as the Twitter. I saw a video on the YouTube today of a man ridiculing another man with a physical disability. It broke my heart. He flopped his arms like a fish that had washed ashore and made fun of his voice. It was horrible. In another clip, a man bragged about his ability to grab women by their lady parts without fear of criminal prosecution, simply because he was a celebrity. Yet another man accused a famous TV reporter of having blood coming out of her whatevers. I do not even know what a whatever is. I cried for hours after watching this. And yet, I am told that there are no people available to help me with this noble crusade."

Meanwhile, despite his selfless efforts to shield America against the threat of foreign nations attempting to alter the course of our elections, Vladimir Putin was informed that the resources simply are not available to effectively staff his Cyber Security Unit. Putin's plan called for President Trump to report directly to the Kremlin and act as administrator of the program.

Putin told Russian State Media that "While this is a setback, I am not deterred in my efforts. There are many other ways for President Trump to report directly to the Kremlin. We are working on them as we speak. Many, many ways."

Amid fundraising worries, Trump gathers potential donors

JONATHAN LEMIRE Associated Press

June 9, 2016
NEW YORK (AP) — Presumptive GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday summoned allies and Republican Party heavyweights to kick off a general election fund-raising operation and push back against the notion that his late-starting cash collecting would be outgunned by Hillary Clinton's.

"We'll raise what we need to raise," Paul Manafort, the campaign's chief strategist, told reporters after a lunch meeting. He suggested that the money needed to win the race is "not as much as people think."

"We have enough to win," Manafort said.

Trump loved to boast during the primaries that he was self-funding his campaign — though he also did accept donations — and he poured in more than $40 million of his own money into the bare-bones campaign. The move to an expensive, national general election campaign, however, requires a far bigger operation, so the Trump campaign signed a joint-fundraising agreement with the Republican National Committee last month.

But the Trump campaign has been slow to raise money, only scheduling a few fundraisers. He had previously said he wanted to raise $1 billion for the battle against Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, but this week said he would be aiming to raise far less.

Kellyanne Conway apparently says prayers for snotty, miserable women who attack women in power.

The ever-compliant Kurtz briefly touched on Trump’s Mika tweets in order to give Conway a chance to vent, asking her, “Do you feel that you, as the highest ranking woman in the White House, are also the target of sexist attacks?”

“Sometimes, sure. Absolutely,” Conway began. “Look, it doesn’t get me off-kilter at all. I say prayers for those people. I’m there for the women who wouldn’t be so snotty and so miserable with their own lives that they would have to attack a stranger or a woman in power.”

Asked by Kurtz “Where are the stories about you as a victim of this,” Conway said those stories will never be written because she is a conservative.

“I’m a conservative, I work for Donald Trump and I’m pro-life,” Conway explained. “That’s okay because, you know, we live in the bubble. You have no idea how many Americans live the opposite way.”
