I keep thinking those who own condos in that property will see their values sink.
Who would want to buy into a property that, despite heavy police and Secret Service protection, will always be a potential site for terrorists and even just harassing and vandalizing?
I think I read that Keigh Olbermann got out (sold) a property there not long ago.
I do feel a little sorry for retail merchants in the area, as their sales will likely be affected downward during this busiest of seasons for sales.

I'm back, and very turned off by the events that unfolded.
I cannot watch the "President-Elect" and have no desire to do so.
I sneak little sessions on TV to keep up with developments, but foresee a bleak four years.
Disheartening, too, because I'm senior enough that I may not get another chance to see another Democratic president.
I can understand that can be a major concern.
I guess the upside is that after a certain age we are no longer accumulating goods, so we basically just need funds for food, housing, and meds.
You more than likely already know how to live well without spending a lot of money - free entertainment is often available, and real and long-time friends are content just to hear from you or spend time in your company without more than a cup of coffee or tea.
However, the concern you have is always in the back of your mind.
Cultivate your friends and family - not to make suckers of them, but so that they welcome and look forward to your company.
(Not a good enough answer, I know, but life is worth the risks we have to take.).
Bill Weld has shown himself as a decent, common sense person
throughout this political season.
