West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey fired a spokeswoman Thursday, after it was revealed that she took part in a video called “The Stop White Genocide Video” that recites slogans of white supremacists.
Carrie Bowe, who was Morrisey’s assistant communications director, appears throughout the video, speaking about white genocide, a white nationalist conspiracy theory that alleges immigration and integration will cause whites to become extinct.
The YouTube video, first uploaded in December 2012 by someone with the screen name of “Johnny Mantraseed,” boasts that it was banned in 18 countries and was once removed from YouTube. It was re-posted to YouTube in 2013 and has been viewed more than 260,000 times.
Throughout the video, Bowe, who started working for Morrisey in January 2015, repeatedly states, “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white,” a phrase coined by well-known white supremacist Bob Whitaker, who lives in Charleston, South Carolina.................

Hillary Clinton’s critics jumped on an Aug. 23 Associated Press analysis of her meetings with Clinton Foundation donors while secretary of state. Trump, as did many others, relayed the findings of the AP analysis using misleading language that appeared in a promotional tweet that was retweeted or liked more than 10,000 times.
We are not going to award Pinocchios to this specific claim. Instead, we will set the record straight and recap what was reported in the initial story, the Clinton campaign’s criticism of the coverage and the AP’s defense.
The Facts
On Aug. 23, the AP Twitter account carried this language as a breaking news alert promoting the article.
But there was much more to the actual story, and that becomes clear once you get past the headline. The AP analyzed State Department records and looked specifically at Clinton’s meetings on the phone or in person with 154 people who were not federal employees or foreign government representatives. This narrowed down the denominator to a small subcategory of people Clinton met with as secretary of state, since the majority of her diplomatic work would involve representatives of foreign governments.

Police in Salem, Massachusetts are searching for a group of about seven people who placed an explosive device in a news box for the Rainbow Times, an LGBT friendly news outlet.
The explosion early on Tuesday morning was heard about a mile away.

Speaking to ABC, Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll, who appeared on the cover of the latest issue of Rainbow Times, said:

“We are a community that supports each other as neighbors and, even in the face of violence and hatred, today should be no different. Fear and hate may cloud the hearts of those committing this act, but it will never, ever characterize this community. Salem is the City of Peace.”

Stock traders have been watching out for Janet Yellen all week, but they were blindsided by Hillary Clinton.
Fed watching should continue Thursday, as traders digest durable goods and jobless claims data ahead of Friday's Jackson Hole speech by the Fed chair. But they will also be licking their wounds after Democrat Clinton punctured the health-care sector with one powerful tweet Wednesday afternoon. The IBB Nasdaq Biotech ETF fell 3.4 percent, after Clinton tweeted and issued a statement saying that there's no justification for the high prices Mylan is charging for EpiPens.
Mylan has been under fire for the dramatic price hikes in EpiPens, livesaving devices for people with severe allergies. Prices have gone from $100 in 2008 to more than $600 for some customers.

"Hillary took the air out of that sector and that hit other momentum names," said Scott Redler, chief strategist at T3Live.com. It's not the first time. Last year, on Sept. 21, Clinton tweeted about price gouging, after revelations about astronomical price hikes by Martin Shkreli's Turing Pharmaceuticals. On Sunday, after combing through Hillary Clinton’s publicly released emails for any signs of illness, WikiLeaks stumbled upon what appeared to be a hidden diagnosis. Clinton was even looking into taking pills to fix it.
“Clinton & ‘decision fatigue.’ 2 months later looked into wakeup pills,” WikiLeaks tweeted. The Twitter account then pointed to two of Clinton’s emails, which have been searchable on WikiLeaks’s website since March.
The organization doubled down on its “discovery” on Monday morning. “Clinton looked at drug after suffering from ‘decision fatigue,’” it tweeted.
In the email, sure enough, Clinton responds to a New York Times article about the sometimes paralyzing “decision fatigue.”

Indiana Governor Mike Pence has understandably spent a good deal of time away from his own state since he became Donald Trump’s running mate and hit the national campaign trail. So when northern Indiana was hit by severe tornado damage on Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t a surprise that Pence was in North Carolina at the time. What’s shocking is after he learned his home state was in tatters and in need of immediate disaster management, he went ahead and held a rally in North Carolina anyway.
One might have expected Mike Pence, if not in the name of doing the right thing then at least in the name of optics, to drop what he was doing on the campaign trail and head straight back to Indiana. Instead he not only went through with the North Carolina rally, he then did a promotional interview with Fox News. Only then did he head home.
This bizarre puff piece from the usually more reliable Politico tries to find a way to praise Pence for not staying on the campaign trail for yet another day in Ohio before heading home. But the reality is that he delayed his return to Indiana so he could keep campaigning in North Carolina.
Strangely, this comes shortly after Donald Trump and Mike Pence attempted to use the flooding disaster in Louisiana to their advantage by cruising into the state for an absurd photo op which essentially consisted of Trump handing a case of Play-Doh to Pence before throwing in the towel. Trump tried to spin that as a victory, even as he inaccurately accused President Obama of ignoring the situation........................

People were rightfully outraged when Mylan Pharmaceuticals raised the price of EpiPens by more than 400 percent. The public outcry has caused Senate democrats to take action.

Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal also wrote a letter demanding that Mylan lower the price of EpiPens. In addition the burden such price gouging places on families, both letters noted that it placed a burden on first responders and medical personnel. Blumenthal’s letter noted that many first responders are resorting to directly injecting epinephrine via syringes despite the fact that EpiPens are safer...............................
....................However, one senator has moved beyond strongly worded letters. Amy Klobuchar is asking the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Mylan’s price gouging.
‘Not only should the Judiciary Committee hold a hearing, the Federal Trade Commission should investigate these price increases immediately. The Commission should also report to Congress on why these outrageous price increases have become common and propose solutions that will better protect consumers within 90 days.’........................
