If Flynn's office was a SCIF, he may have used the forbidden internet connection to bypass monitoring.

Donald Trump, in Louisiana, Says He Will End Energy Regulations

BATON ROUGE, La. — President-elect Donald J. Trump on Friday promised that his administration would strip away “job-killing restrictions” on energy production and begin building refineries in the United States, as he campaigned for Republican candidates in a state heavily dependent on the oil and gas industry.

“We will cancel the job-killing restrictions on the production of American energy,” Mr. Trump said in an airplane hangar in Baton Rouge, the day before Louisiana voters go to the polls to vote for Senate and House candidates. “We haven’t had refineries built in decades, right? We’re going to have refineries built again.”

His comments came the day after he announced he had chosen Scott Pruitt, Oklahoma’s attorney general and a staunch ally of the energy industry who has teamed with companies to undercut the Obama administration’s climate regulations, to be the Environmental Protection Agency administrator.

Mr. Trump pledged to enact a “massive” tax cut for the middle class, roll back Obama-era regulations, pass a $1 trillion infrastructure program and build a wall on the southern border to prioritize American people and jobs.

This week, a North Carolina man took an AR-15 rifle into D.C.'s Comet Ping Pong pizza restaurant to "self-investigate" a fake internet conspiracy theory involving Hillary Clinton, John Podesta and a child sex ring.

It's the latest example of the impact that "fake news" -- untrue or wildly misleading stories masquerading as fact, usually to appeal to a particular worldview -- is having on the real world.

Numerous reports have highlighted how fake news creators began targeting conservative readers after finding them receptive to stories that reinforced their existing worldview. As one fake news creator told NPR, "We've tried to do [fake news with] liberals. It just has never worked, it never takes off. You'll get debunked within the first two comments and then the whole thing just kind of fizzles out."

A Buzzfeed analysis found that three main conservative Facebook pages were roughly twice as likely as three leading liberal Facebook pages to publish fake or misleading information..................

Federal Judge Refuses to Halt Wisconsin Recount

By todd richmond, associated press

MADISON, Wis. — Dec 9, 2016, 12:29 PM ET

A federal judge refused to halt Wisconsin's presidential recount Friday, telling President-elect Donald Trump's supporters that the recount probably won't change anything anyway.

Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes in the state. With the recount more than 82 percent complete as of Wednesday, Clinton had gained only 61 votes.

"The relief you're asking for is so clearly unwarranted," U.S. District Judge James Peterson said during a 20-minute hearing. "The recount looks like it's going smoothly and competently. It's not going to have any impact on whether the electoral college meets or who takes office."

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein requested the recount to determine if election machines were hacked. Two pro-Trump groups, the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC, filed a federal lawsuit Dec. 1 — the day the recount began — to stop the process...................................

Last night President-elect Donald Trump used his Twitter account to criticize Chuck Jones, an Indiana union organizer who has been sharply critical of Trump’s recent Carrier deal to keep jobs from moving to Mexico. Jones suggested the deal didn’t save as many jobs as Trump had promised and said the President-elect “lied his ass off.” And so Trump lashed out publicly, lambasting Jones before an audience of some 17 million-plus Twitter followers:

Jones’ phone began to ring almost immediately with a flood of threats, according to a report from the Washington Post.

While Trump frequently air grievances on Twitter, his decision to single out a lone citizen with a public denouncement raises questions about whether such behavior might run afoul of Twitter’s gauzy rules for conduct and its prohibitions against harassment and incitement.

It’s tricky and unprecedented territory for Twitter. Trump is obviously free to mention individuals by name on Twitter, especially as they relate to policy and governing. However, Trump’s new role as the most powerful leader in the free world as well as, his extreme visibility, and the history of his followers targeting and harassing his enemies create potential fallout that stands to affect real people, regardless of the intent with which they are made. Simply put: as President, the potential consequences of Trump’s speech make his case — and Twitter’s potential enforcement — somewhat unique............................

Trump calling out a lone citizen is arguably a violation Twitter's rules. Twitter won't say whether it's an offense.
