Clinton Leads Trump 47% to 43% in Alaska. Wait...What?!
Thought Texas could be the biggest surprise of Election Night 2016? Maybe not!
A poll of likely voters in Alaska shows Hillary Clinton with a growing lead over Donald Trump particularly with younger voters and women, mirroring trends seen in the lower-48. Craciun Research surveyed 400 voters and found 47-43 leaning for the Democratic nominee with less than two weeks until Election Day.

Trump’s support with likely voters meanwhile has dipped 4% since mid-October. The Gender Gap is at levels not experienced in the recent past with women supporting Clinton by a margin of 17% (55% to 38% respectively). Further impacting the race is the unprecedented endorsement of Clinton by the Alaska Federation of Natives board. In the rural North and Northwest regions of the State, the poll shows Clinton is beating Trump by a margin of almost 5:1 (74% to 15%). ................................................................

Saturday, 12:13 p.m., White Plains, N.Y. Saturday on the trail begins like any other for Hillary Clinton. She steps onto the tarmac. She smiles. She waves. It’s as if the ........................
This, from the outside at least, is the Clinton campaign under siege. She and her aides, by now, after a long 18 months, are somewhat at home when in crisis. (“Happy warrior” is how a Clinton official described the candidate’s state of mind on Saturday morning here in Westchester.)

But on Friday, as news of the inquiry hit the presidential race just 11 days before election time — while the press scrambled for information with few details and without inflight internet, while Donald Trump assailed the latest “criminal scheme” — Clinton held her smile, and the day proceeded as planned. There were two rallies in Iowa. (“I am so excited and happy to be back here!”) There were special guests. (Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson. Star photographer Annie Leibovitz. Childhood friend Betsy Ebeling.) And there was no mention of the FBI inquiry until the day was done.........................
Friday, 12:57 p.m. Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook takes questions about early vote returns aboard the “Stronger Together” Boeing 737 — flying through the Midwest without wifi. On the ground, Rep. Jason Chaffetz tweets that the FBI has informed him of emails that “appear to be pertinent” to the Clinton investigation.
1:21 p.m. News breaks aboard the plane, now making its initial descent into Cedar Rapids, Iowa.................
7:12 p.m. Clinton heads for the exit. A reporter shouts one final question.
“Are you worried this could sink your campaign, Secretary Clinton?”
The candidate is almost out the door as she lets out one big, long laugh.

........"You may have heard about a letter that the FBI director...," she said, the reference to FBI Director Comey drawing a chorus of boos from the packed Dicksonson community center in Daytona Beach.
"Well, if you're like me you probably have a few questions about it," Clinton continued. "It is pretty strange to put something like that out with such little information right before an election. In fact, it is not just strange, it is unprecedented and deeply troubling. Voters deserve to get the full and complete facts, and so we have called on Director Comey to explain everything. Put it all out on the table."
Volusia has long been a battleground county in presidential election years, ..................
The former Secretary of State also stopped at Bethune-Cookman University's homecoming game celebration, where she was mobbed by cheering BCU fans. She called school founder Mary McLeod Bethune one of her heroes. She urged the crowd at BCU and at the community center to go ahead and vote as soon as possible and urge others to vote......

...........But it is extraordinary for such volatile information to emerge so close to Election Day and that’s especially true given how few specifics are known. Because Comey was so vague, voters can’t know what to think. The new emails could be anything from meaningless to evidence of criminal activity by Clinton to most anything in between.
Comey said the FBI had not yet assessed the new emails’ importance, said he does not yet know if they contain “significant” information, did not indicate if they include emails sent by Clinton and gave no indication how long it would take to reach any certainty.a take or leave thought.
Partisans on each side will assume the worst or the best, but until Comey provides more information it’s impossible to know.
So the FBI director has introduced an ominous cloud over the election at the last moment with little explanation. Millions of people have already voted and millions more plan to vote in coming days. It is incumbent upon Comey to provide more information as soon as possible so voters can make an informed decision.
