Trueblue Texan's JournalOk... MSNBC has moved from pushing toward the right to actually LYING about Biden and Harris.
Elise Jordan conducted a focus group of swing voters in Wisconsin asking them "Who do you blame for President Biden being in office in this condition? Who deserves the blame?" Then she lets the more Trumpy of the swing voters extoll about her concerns that if Harris covered up for Biden's condition, what might she be willing to hide from voters about herself, and why Harris is now okay with exposing Biden's health concerns. Jordan then asks the group who else agrees that it calls into the Vice President's judgement that she has been around while the President's health has deteriorated but hasn't disclosed it.
First of all, her question is based on a false premise, that the President's health has deteriorated, that there is actually something to disclose about his health that the public isn't already aware of. Having a cold or other virus, like COVID, for example, does not indicate that one's health has deteriorated. Second, her question assumes that it is the Vice President's responsibility to assess and report on the President's health status and in not doing so she is hiding vital information from voters.
And finally, there is no evidence that Biden's health actually is deteriorating. True, Biden has had a cold, followed closely by a COVID infection and he is old. None of this has been covered up as Elise Jordan's question implies, nor does any of it indicate a deteriorating condition of health. Further, it is certainly not the role of the Vice President, nor any of the Cabinet to assess and report on the president's health. Elise Jordan demonstrated her lack of professionalism in this piece of trash that she tries to pass off as journalism.
MSNBC has had a good reputation for responsible journalism, but recently they don't appear to be invested in maintaining such a reputation. Elise Jordan will go down in my book as another right wing media hack.

Or remind me I've been to a wine tasting event...either one. So I admit I haven't been paying attention today. Did this so-called shooting happen early in the event, before Trump could make a total ass of himself, or after he'd been on stage for a while and already removed all doubt of his ineptitude? In either case, the lasting impression on attendees will be the excitement of the event, not the incoherence of the candidate. Ok. Call me cynical. I can take it.

The ignorance of the press on the condition of stuttering should embarrass them.
They've gone on and on about how poor Biden's debate performance was and how it may disqualify him from the job of the president. I have yet to hear any media outlet mention the effect of illness and fatigue on the condition of stuttering. Biden performed EXACTLY as should have been expected of anyone with a stuttering problem who was sick and exhausted. There was absolutely NOTHING about his performance that wouldn't have been expected of anyone under those conditions, no matter their age.

Kiss my ASS! It is truly RICH that Susan Glasser (The New Yorker) DARES to mention doubts about Biden's debate performance, which "we've all seen with our own eyes," as a legitimate consideration of his fitness for office. And Tur does nothing to counter such a STUPID assertion!
Hello, Ms DEAF, DUMB, and BLIND Glasser! We all saw the former president lead an insurrection on our nation's capital! Remember that? I know you saw it, even though you pretend you can only see one candidate's imperfections. We all SAW it with our own eyes, even if you don't have the brains or the courage to admit it! And we've seen MUCH more from the former president that is disqualifying as well! You apparently need to go soak your head in the toilet because your brain seems to be sorely dehydrated. You clearly are not qualified to provide any useful assessment of either candidate for president!

Just got back from visiting Texas Towelie and I'm happy to report he seems to be in good spirits and is getting good care. He is scheduled to have an ablation Wednesday.
Calimary, you'll be glad to know I brought him a plant with 3 different specimens in it, which I hope will not be easy to kill. I think it would take me a while to kill it and I think he's probably a better gardener than me.
He is unable to respond to messages and posts at present because he has been hospitalized for an elevated heart rate. He has been intubated twice, but is not intubated now. He will be seeing a cardiologist and may require an ablation to stabilize his heart rate. He says to tell you all he will catch up when he is back to his computer, as for now he has only his cell phone. Apparently he has been hospitalized for a number of days, but wasn't sure how many.
Please keep him in your thoughts and send him good healing vibes.
It wouldn't have mattered who was on the debate stage with TSF last night...
I also listened to Ruth Ben-Giat today on Nicole Wallace. A younger Biden, or a Kamala Harris, or a Gavin Newsome would have had the same sort of performance as Biden did with the lies spewing from TSF. Who wouldn't have been flabbergasted with the brazenness of the lying? But that's what authoritarians do.

It was hard to see our candidate stumble around the torrent of lies to get his footing to articulate his own accomplishments. The tidal wave of lies was almost impossible to stay above, but Biden got stronger as the tide surged. Biden was there for a very different reason than TSF. Indoctrination with lies is not a new ploy, but it's an effective one and one TSF is quite masterful at.
Yes many are feeling it was a crisis, but so what? Crises happen and we will never overcome a tyrant by bailing on our candidate just because of a debate crisis. I've got my big girl panties on and I'm not going anywhere. I damn sure won't be chased off by a Hitler-wanna-be. Let's fight!

I know Biden had a cold, but his performance was not great. Partly I think it was the cold; partly I think it was that he wasn’t used to addressing blatant lies. I’m exhausted and I wish there was more chilled sparkling wine.
