Are there any humorists or humor writers who others laugh at but who you don't find funny at all?

Author and humor-writer David Sedaris seems to be very popular these days.
I hear him a lot on NPR, speaking before live audiences who laugh uproariously at everything he says.
Amazon.com describes him as "One of America's pre-eminent humor writers."
He's written books.
He writes for magazines such as The New Yorker and The Atlantic.
I don't "dislike" him - I just don't think he's funny.
On the plus side, like me and just about everybody here on DU, he does NOT like Donald Trump!
I learned this when I read his essay in the "Paris Review" titled
"A Number of Reasons I've been Depressed Lately"
(t's a nice essay, and you can find it easily by doing a Google search)

Is there anyone you know of who makes people laugh uproariously that you don't think is funny?

What's your favorite Yogi Berra quote?

I think my favorite Yogism is a comment he made after the Yankees stayed at a particular hotel.

"The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase."

Thanks To Sarah Josepha Hale For Giving Us Thanksgiving

(From Wikipedia)

Sarah Josepha Hale (October 24, 1788 - April 30, 1879) may be the individual most responsible for making Thanksgiving a national holiday in the United States.
It had previously been celebrated only in New England.
Each state scheduled it's own holiday, some as early as October and others as late as January.
It was largely unknown in the American South.
Her advocacy for the national holiday began in 1846 and lasted 17 years before it was successful.
In support of the proposed national holiday, Hale wrote letters to five Presidents of the United States: Zachary Taylor, Milliard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, and Abraham Lincoln.
Her initial letters failed to persuade, but the letter she wrote to Lincoln convinced him to support legislation establishing a national holiday of Thanksgiving in 1863.
The new national holiday was considered a unifying day after the stress of the American Civil War.
Before Thanksgiving's addition, the only national holidays celebrated in the United States were Washington's Birthday and Independence Day.

"Nor need we power or splendor, wide hall or lordly dome; the good, the true, the tender - these form the wealth of home."

Sarah Josepha Hale

Did President Trump Approve a Deal That Allowed Hundreds of ISIS Fighters to Escape Raqqa?

Why hasn't this deeply-reported BBC story gotten more attention?

RAQQA'S DIRTY SECRET
BBC

The BBC has uncovered details of a secret deal that let hundreds of IS fighters and their families escape from Raqqa, under the gaze of the U.S. and British-led coalition and Kurdish-led forces who control the city.

Lorry driver Abu Fawzi thought it was going to be just another job.

He drives an 18-wheeler across some of the most dangerous territory in northern Syria.
Bombed-out bridges, deep desert sand, even government forces and so-called Islamic State fighters don't stand in the way of a delivery.

But this time, his load was to be human cargo.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters opposed to ISIS, wanted him to lead a convoy that would take hundreds of families displaced by fighting from the town of Tabqa on the Euphrates River to a camp further north.
The job would take six hours, maximum - or at least that's what he was told.

But when he and his fellow drivers assembled their convoy early on 12 October, they realized they had been lied to.

Instead, it would take three days of hard driving, carrying a deadly cargo - hundreds of ISIS fighters, their families, and tons of weapons and ammunition.
