madamesilverspurs's JournalKarl Rove vs Mark Udall
Karl Roves American Crossroads has a new anti-Udall ad airing in Colorado. In an effort to cast Cory Gardner as a lifelong champion of women the ad is clearly aimed at women. It features a group of women chatting in a kitchen (because where else would women ever have conversation); theyre lobbing simplistic and already debunked antiUdallisms back and forth, and the scripted sighs are delivered with characteristic cluelessness. To Roves credit the women are not presented as barefoot and pregnant.
Ye gods.
Jerk
Here's the anti-woman, anti-immigrant, anti- common sense putz (R) who is running for the seat being vacated by Cory Gardner in Colorado's CD4. This is what he posted to his facebook page to commemorate 9-11. Only surprise is that he didn't mention the birth certificate.
If you live in CD4 or know people who do, let them know to vote for Vic Meyers. PLEASE.
It's Friday. Am I still here?

One year later...
Interesting
Side-effect of MSNBC's showing of 'as it happened' video of 9-11, there are zero campaign ads in the commercial breaks. Sad, weird, albeit unintended, semblance of normalcy.
A bucketful of yardsticks

It ain't easy keeping up.
Over on C-span, Louis Gohmert is glomming the camera as he rails against "dictator" Obama for knowing more about the Constitution than former judge (eek!) Gohmert is incapable of comprehending. Switching to C-span2, Jeff Sessions (whose only objection to the Klan is that some of them smoke pot) is railing against the president of illegal immigrants.
Y'know, there are some moments when you understand why some people just give up trying and watch Honey Booboo instead . . .
Chucky gets a brand new mic
