Now I must go be a productive member of society . I owe one of my mentors who is American (as I told you before I think-I am not American and I live half way around the world from you guys now-though I got most of the best parts of my education in academia in the US) a paper I have been working on for 15 years (I am efficient!). I am shooting for it to be my October Surprise for him .

He will probably need some cheer come November because even if Trump loses (which I think he will-abortion rights, good economy, incumbent effect etc) he will probably try Insurrection Round 2 and most people don’t enjoy living through government overthrows.

Just my little piece of support for you guys given what you are dealing with over there .

I cannot believe he actually said that over the E Jean thing..he really only shoots to establish his credibility with people attuned to lowest common denominator.

Not “I would never ever do that” but “she is not my type” or something to that effect. “Your honor I would only rape a perfect 10..okay maybe I will go as low as 7”. I think I even heard some late night host make that joke roughly..or maybe it was Gloria Steinem.

But fwiw I agree that E Jean is not his “type”..she has brains, courage and character which cannot be attractive to a brainless windbag. By contrast i saw in a documentary on Trump that Ivana Trump was the one of his wives most like him .

Well I guess I meant we are both older than ..well..younger people… . Our age brackets are a little far apart.

I was also shocked to see the polls saying that young people may sit this one out, but I think the press just wants a horse race. I think abortion rights will win the election for Biden and it would be great if the press would bother to cover the horrors of lack of choice.

It will be a disaster if Biden loses. It is not a sane society where people like that one doctor-what was her name? Caitlin Barnard- are embattled and have to fight for their work..and sleazy grifters like say Kash Patel are considered successes:

Yeah it is horrible where I live

Absolute misogynists and sociopaths..I am glad the Me Too movement exists. Believe Women is such a powerful statement..that too when society is this bassackwards..

It is not everyone obviously but there are the real aggressive jerks and creeps but well I can handle them. Women have to get tough. It is hard because there are a lot of not very well off men where I live who are just trying to get by , but there are aggressive men of all classes who just don’t get it…

I have my own jumping spider now!

Just seen one-it is adorable! I get why all those people on Reddit say they are like tiny cats .
I cannot agree with you Bluethroughu! I think it is really cute. It does this little spinning jump thing that is very cute . Man I hope I don’t accidentally injure it..I might have to clean my desk which is hideously cluttered..oh well-on the plus side I might find some stuff I thought I lost .. (God I sound like a complete pig..)

I don’t know if I will remember to check back. I am focusing on a deadline over the next year and don’t expect to be online much till I am done with it.. But I thought of this thread when I saw it…
