Also in July, a Trump delegate said on the radio, “Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason,” referring to her handling of the terrorist attack in Benghazi. (It’s worth noting, the Trump campaign said they “don’t agree” with the comment.)
Now, a California county GOP official has sent tweets insinuating that Clinton should be executed.
In response to a Twitter user asking where to obtain a “Republicans for Hillary” sign, two tweets came Wednesday from the Riverside County GOP official Twitter account.
Both depicted a bloodied hangman holding a noose, with the words “I’m Ready for Hillary” printed at the bottom. The second included a caption, referring to the “Republicans for Hillary” signs: “sorry they never arrived but this is pretty popular.”

The men, accompanied by three women who did not speak until asked, were forming a new group called “Let’s Move Melania into the White House.” This was not a campaign for Trump, they specified. This was all about Melania.

After a request to hear what any of the three women in attendance thought Melania would do for them, Dawn Lincoln stepped forward. She said she was there to support her friend Musovic.

And, in interviews with Republican college students around the country, some say they dread their turn inside the voting booth in November where they will face the choice of voting for their party's standard-bearer or not.
Four years ago, GOP nominee Mitt Romney lost to President Obama by 5 million votes among voters under 30. This year, there are indications younger voters may show even less support for the Republican candidate.

Kristen Soltis Anderson, a Republican pollster and ABC News contributor says Trump could be putting the GOP in a challenging position for years to come.
“Donald Trump is definitely doing serious and significant damage to the Republican Party with the millennial generation,” Anderson said. “Republicans came into this election in a tough spot with younger voters already, due to differences on issues like LGBT rights and due to the fact that the millennial generation is so racially and ethnically diverse. Republicans didn't have any room to lose more young voters, and instead nominated a candidate who seems to be fine turning these voters off in exchange for trying to run up the numbers with older voters.”

Donald Trump would be a disaster and an embarrassment for our country if he were elected president. His campaign is not based on anything of substance — improving the economy, our education system, healthcare or the environment. It is based on bigotry. He is attempting to win this election by fomenting hatred against Mexicans and Muslims. He has crudely insulted women. And as a leader of the “birther movement,” he tried to undermine the legitimacy of our first African American president. That is not just my point of view. That’s the perspective of a number of conservative Republicans.
In these difficult times, we need a president who will bring our nation together, not someone who will divide us by race or religion, not someone who lacks an understanding of what our Constitution is about.
On virtually every major issue facing this country and the needs of working families, Clinton’s positions are far superior to Trump’s. Our campaigns worked together to produce the most progressive platform in the history of American politics. Trump’s campaign wrote one of the most reactionary documents.

2. He is being audited. I mean, maybe. Trump could, of course, release his tax returns even while he is under an audit. Richard Nixon did it in 1973.
3. He did not pay any taxes. The scant evidence we have on Trump's approach to taxation gives this theory credence. A 1981 report by New Jersey gambling regulators showed that Trump did not pay any taxes at all for two years in the 1970s. How? Because as a developer he was able to report negative income.
4. He has mob ties. The idea that Trump has links to organized crime has been kicking around for decades. But they've come much more to the fore since he began running for president. Ted Cruz, during a late-February interview on “Meet the Press,” brought the accusation into the presidential race: “There have been multiple media reports about Donald's business dealings with the mob, with the mafia. Maybe his taxes show those business dealings are a lot more extensive than has been reported.”

Overall, the Clinton Campaign and its allies have aired a total of $68 million in ads through last week, while the Trump Campaign and its extended team TISI +%, including the Rebuilding America Now SuperPAC and the NRA Political Victory Fund, have spent just $6 million. That contrast becomes even more stark when you zero in on the crucial period following the political conventions, when campaigns are angling to build on their momentum and define their competitors ahead of the sprint to the finish in the fall.

American elections have been won or lost on broadcast media for over half a century and it’s nearly inconceivable that the Trump campaign will continue to get outspent at this rate for much longer, despite the candidate’s talent for dominating earned media news coverage. And yet, the early signs are pointing toward further Democratic domination of the airwaves.
NBC News reports that the Clinton campaign and Hillary-aligned SuperPACs – principally Priorities USA – have already reserved $98 million in ads for the fall, including over $20 million in Florida and nearly $17 million in Ohio. This kind of saturation buying not only makes a dent in the inventory available to the Trump campaign and its allies, it also locks Team Hillary’s media costs in at a much lower rate than Trump, the master negotiator, will end up paying for last minute placements.
So far, Team Trump has only answered back with less than $1 million in reserved spots: $329,000 for national media, $294,000 in Florida, and $178,000 in Ohio.
In normal years, a racketeering lawsuit against a major Presidential nominee would be a big deal.
Racketeering laws were put into place to help fight organized crime. And this is only one of the lawsuits involving Trump U that the candidate is facing.
This is such a strange election.

Trump’s desire to quash the case is understandable. A civil RICO judgment against him could impose a significant financial penalty. If Trump lost at trial, the plaintiffs would automatically be entitled to have their attorney’s fees covered by him. Whatever damages are imposed against him would also be “trebled,” or tripled, by law.
While Trump University isn’t the type of organization usually targeted by the federal RICO statute, which was designed to fight organized crime, Curiel noted the U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted its scope broadly.
“Ultimately, while Defendant may believe that, as a policy matter, civil RICO ought not be extended to consumer class action cases … it is not for this Court to effectuate Defendant’s policy preferences in contravention of the settled approach of the higher courts,” he wrote.
Curiel previously denied summary judgment in Low v. Trump, a class-action lawsuit that alleges consumer-protection violations by Trump University, last November. Trump has emphatically denied any wrongdoing in the lawsuits. He frequently cites positive reviews of the seminars given by former customers as evidence against the plaintiffs’ allegations.

Now, Pope Francis has joined the fight.
Speaking aboard Shepherd One on his way to Rome earlier this week after a five-day trip to Poland, Pope Francis said: “I think it is not right to identify Islam with violence. It is not right and it is not true. I believe that in every religion there is always a little fundamentalist group.”
Francis acknowledged that there are violent Catholics, too. “I don’t like to talk about Islamic violence because every day, when I look at the papers I see violence here in Italy—someone killing his girlfriend, someone killing his mother-in-law. These are baptized Catholics.”
Francis’s remarks come a week after ISIS killed a Catholic priest during Mass in France. Father Jacques Hamel, 85, was celebrating a small weekday Mass when two ISIS-sponsored terrorists with knives enter into the church and slit the priest’s throat and held the congregation hostage before being killed by the police.
