Habitation
Habitation's JournalHistory will judge the Republican Senators the harshest of all.
The GOP repeatedly failed in their responsibility to stop Trump. Instead of protecting the American public from Putin's agenda, they focused the entirety of their two years of complete majority on a feeding frenzy for the right wing of the party. Owned like slaves by the richest of their contributors - the billionaire class.
Republican Senators saw many warnings and evidence of crimes and instead actively worked to cover them up because their billionaire Masters wanted them to.
The public was not served while the billionaire class was obeyed by the Senate.
There is no excuse for the elected GOP Senators to fail so completely in protecting and serving the people.
The result is that the judicial branch had to clean up a huge mess, and jurors - American Patriots - are sacrificing months of their lives serving on grand juries because Republican senators care more about their seats than they do their oaths to the Constitution.
Republican senators care more about their billionaires than they care about the integrity of the election for President of the USA. They care more about personal power than they care about the best interests of the voters that put them there.
History will judge the Republican Senators the harshest of all.

To say House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has mastered the art of dealing with President Trump would be a gross understatement. She fact-checked him in the Oval Office on live TV and passed spending bills to reopen the government, thereby reinforcing Trumps responsibility for the shutdown. To top it off, shes taking away the presidents TV. More precisely, in response to Trumps nearly month-long temper tantrum, she has told him he wont get his prime-time State of the Union address on Jan. 29.
In a letter to Trump, she writes, During the 19th Century and up until the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, these annual State of the Union messages were delivered to Congress in writing. And since the start of modern budgeting in Fiscal Year 1977, a State of the Union address has never been delivered during a government shutdown. She then explains that both the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security, which are charged with security, have not been funded for 26 days now with critical departments hamstrung by furloughs. Given all that, we couldnt possibly have the speech, she says.
She concludes: I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th. (I vote for delivering it in writing.)

You wonder why in the world Democrats ever considered replacing her. She knows she has power, she willingly and skillfully deploys it, and, as she has said, as a mother of 5 children, knows how to handle a toddlers meltdown. She also knows what Trump craves most attention and TV cameras. (Remember, he couldnt stand it when she had the limelight on Jan. 3 so felt compelled to enter the White House briefing room but take no questions.)
